The Index gains on last day of week Sensex close up 0.44% while Nifty close up 0.53%.
About 1187 shares have advanced, 1123 shares declined, and 164 shares are
unchanged. ITC gained after raising prices for one of its cigarette brands, while
Hindustan Unilever advanced to a record high after parent company Unilever increased
its stake in the Indian unit. RBI was seen selling dollars via state-run banks on Friday.
