The markets again surged today. Sensex close up 321.07 gains 1.27% & the Nifty close
up 97.75 gains 1.30%, as lenders and infrastructure-related shares such as IDFC Ltd
surged after the central bank exempted long-term bonds raised for the sector from
reserve requirements. ICICI Bank rallied 5 percent. Hindalco, Axis Bank, Sesa Sterlite
and BHEL were other top gainers in the Sensex. Among losers were Bajaj Auto, GAIL,
Cipla, Dr Reddy's and Wipro. IDFC and Adani ports gained more than 8 percent today.
