Videos are useful for sharing ideas and to clarify
complex subjects. Students are more engaged if the
subject of the lecture is well-animated and if there is a
story behind complicated concepts.
Ii is important to sketch a scenario beforehand.
- Draft a storyboard that will
help you to understand
which shots would you need
to take.
- Always keep in mind the
main subject

Before you start take into account what your
final product will be:
- to make it easy make one recording so that
no further editing is needed
- to create more complex videos then
take as many different
video clips as you want,
then edit the clips using
software tools or an app

Share it as a file: must be downloaded first before anyone can watch it. Services such
as WeTransfer provide hosting opportunities.

Publishing videos on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) gives more
shares and interactions with the audience. An account (free) is needed.

  • 4. Simple video recording Videos are useful for sharing ideas and to clarify complex subjects. Students are more engaged if the subject of the lecture is well-animated and if there is a story behind complicated concepts. Ii is important to sketch a scenario beforehand. - Draft a storyboard that will help you to understand which shots would you need to take. - Always keep in mind the main subject 4

Simple video recording Before you start take into account what your final product will be: - to make it easy make one recording so that no further editing is needed - to create more complex videos then take as many different video clips as you want, then edit the clips using software tools or an app (see Unit 2 Expert) 5
  • 7. Sharing your video Share it as a file: must be downloaded first before anyone can watch it. Services such as WeTransfer provide hosting opportunities. - Wetransfer: https://wetransfer.com Share videos via publication websites: ● YouTube: you need an account to upload a video. Disadvantage of YouTube is that - unless you pay for a premium account - you get a lot of advertising YouTube: https://www.youtube.com ● Vimeo: you need a paid account for it (limited version is available for free). Vimeo: https://vimeo.com ● Microsoft Stream: you need an Office365-account Microsoft Stream: https://web.microsoftstream.com/ Publishing videos on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) gives more shares and interactions with the audience.
