celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This was
followed by the Christian faith on the third day after
his crucifixion.Christ's crucifixion took place around
30 or 33 near the important Jewish feast of the
Pesach, which is a sight of Israel's liberation by
Moses from Egyptian slavery. As well as Pentecost,
it was originally (also according to the Latin name) a
Jewish feast, and by 325 they were celebrated on the
same day as a Jewish feast.

● The Lamb represented the Jewish tradition of Israel
as the herd of God that the Lord is leading. At the
same time, the Jews eat their lamb at their feast as a
reminder of their deliverance from Egypt. In
Christianity, the lamb is one of the symbols of Jesus
Christ, for in figuratively according to Christian
faith he is the lamb sacrificed for the salvation of the
world.

● The cross is the most important of the Christian
symbols because Christ was condemned to death by
the crucifixion. This punishment was one of the
most cruel and degrading punishments. This symbol
is much older. The crucifixion corresponds to the
winter solstice, when the Sun enters the constellation

● Another Easter symbol is an egg, a symbol of new
life, for it contains the very birth of life. In many
cultures, eggs are the symbol of fertility, life, and
resurrection. Even in ancient Egypt or Persia, red
eggs (red as a symbol of the uterus) were dyed for
spring. However, the egg shells can be dressed up to
prehistory.

● The horseradish symbolizes the nails or the
bitterness of the suffering of Christ. The habit of
eating horseradish on Easter is mainly maintained in
Poland, Austria and Slovenia. It corresponds to the
Jewish tradition when the fish eat as a bitter herb at
Seder, when it is also eaten by a lamb or beige (egg)
bone.

● Milk with honey symbolizes the duality of Christ. In
the form of a so-called "Jew" symbolizes the rope of
Judas Iscariot. Milk and honey symbolizes the
Promised Land of Exodus, which is also reflected in
the legend of forefather Čech. Amos was also
identified with the lambs of Zeus, who was a young
fodder of milk and honey. Double Amon-Re has
tears from which people were born and symbolizing
honey or bees. Reova's wife Hathor (or Mut) is a
cow milk goddess (symbolizing the Milky Way).

scratch ornaments with a needle.
● Other people die the eggs and then glue little
pieces of straw to make beautiful ornaments.

In the morning boys and men visit girls. They beat them with a whip which
some of them make themselves from fresh willow sticks and other buy in the
market. This tradition promises to keep the girls young and fresh. Usually it is
fun but not always and this is the reason why girls do not like Easter. Men also
pour a perfume on girls or they throw them into a bathtub with a cold water or
at least they pour the cold water on them.

Boys say rhymes and then the girls award them with a decorated egg.
Nowadays the eggs are also chocolate. Some people give money and
alcohol and men get drunk. This another reason why Easter traditions are
not as popular as they used to be.
