Vessel was engaged in subsea surveys , ROV, in Israel for 14 months and then moved to the black sea
engaging in survey work for the proposed South Stream pipe line for Gazprom. Later postponed.
Chief Engineer on board a Diesel/Electric DP3 Vessel. Well testing vessel Toisa Pisces.
Working in GOM. Well stimulation for Pemex.
Toisa Proteus
Vessel was engaged in saturation diving salvage work on rig collapsed by Hurricane Katrina. 660V Split
switchboards with four bowthrusters and two stern Azimuths {Aquamasters} Diesel generators are Wartsila
X 4 R32 Responsible for dive technicians and all support equipment for safe diving operations. Premaster
is the planned maintenance system. Other vessels I have worked on within this company are DSV Puma
GOM.
MSV Vigilant GOM and MSV Proteus GOM. DP System Ulstein/ Konsberg and Alstom.
2006- November 06’
Chief Engineer Gulmar Offshore Middle East
Chief engineer on DSV Gulmar Eagle. In charge of all mechanical and electrical operations on board DP2
Vessel operating in middle east. Main engines MAN X 2 6000 hp each. 4 off Brunvoll thrusters and 3516
Caterpillar engine used for back up to power thrusters. 3 Volvo geneators @ 200 kw each with shaft
generators rated at 1MW each. Multi national engine room crew.
Marine Engineering
2005 - 2006 Chief Engineer, GSI Windsor.
Chief engineer on seismic vessel operating in Antarctica. Responsible for all mechanical and electrical
systems on board vessel. Sulzer engine 5000 hp with Cat auxiliaries x 2 3516s.

2. 2005 - 2005 Chief Engineer, Halul Offshore Qatar.
Chief Engineer on DSV with ROV operations. Ensure the safe running of all mechanical and electrical
equipment. Provide technical support for ROV maintenance and operate four point anchoring system.
Wartsila x 2 main engines with 4 Volvo Penta auxiliaries and two shaft generators. Vessel was DP 2.
2003 - 2005 Chief Engineer, Torch Inc.
Chief Engineer on multi purpose Pipe Laying vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. This vessel had ROV and
diving capabilities. Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment was in order and also maintain pipe
laying hydraulics and electrical system. Provide technical support to Rov Operations. Vessel was DP2
2002 - 2003 Chief Engineer, Fugro.
Chief Engineer on Drill vessel with ROV operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Maintain and all mechanical
and electrical systems on board vessel. Delegate work to engine room personnel on daily basis. Twin
engine Wartsila 6000hp with Volvo generators. DP 2.
Chief Engineer, Stolt Diving Division.
Chief Engineer on DSV. Maintain and troubleshoot all mechanical and electrical equipment on board
vessel. Provide technical support for saturatin diving operations and maintain compressors, generators
and all auxiliary equipment for same. Operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
2000-2002 Chief Engineer, Clearwater Fisheries.
Chief Engineer on factory freezer, clams, trawler. Maintain and troubleshoot all mechanical and
electrical equipment on board vessel. Also maintain refrigeration systems on vessel and hydraulics on
deck. Wartsila V8 main engine with two caterpillar generators and 1.5 MW shaft generator.

1995-2000 Chief Engineer. Atlantic Towing
Chief Engineer on ocean going salvage tugs. Maintain and troubleshoot all mechanical and electrical
equipment on board vessel. Vessel was 10,000 hp with towing capacity of up to 100 ton bollard pull. I
was also responsible for carrying out ISO audits for company on some of their other vessels. Worked at
shipyard building hulls for Z drive tugs that were built for company.
1989-2005 Chief Engineer/ Second Engineer
Irving Tankers.
Sailed as second engineer on Irving Canada and also Irving Ocean. Main engine Sulzer 18000 BHP
with steam turbine cargo pumps and caterpillar generators. Responsible for all maintenance in
engine room and delegating work to watchkeepers. Chief engineer on Hors Polaire, coastal tanker,
with Nahab engine 9 cylinder 13000 BHP.
1981-1989 Second Engineer Shell Canadian Tankers
Second engineer on Arctic Explorer. Twin engine paxman 6000 BHP. Responsible for all maintenance
in engine room and effecting repairs to work boats and barges when we worked in the Arctic. Also
responsible for setting up mobile pump units at tank farms in Inuit villages.
1979-1981 Underground Mechanical Foreman
Roan Consolidated Mines, Zambia.
Responsible for all mechanical repairs to pumping stations and diesel-electrical equipment on all
underground levels in copper mine. Had crew of twelve artisan fitters to oversee and delegate work

3. to on daily basis. Also was on mine rescue team.
1972-1979 British Merchant Navy
Sailed with various companies, Ellerman City Liners, John I. Jacobs and Ropners. I started as a
junior engineer and finished as a second engineer with Ellermans on board the City of Colombo. All
vessels I sailed on were J type Doxford engines.
1968-01972 Cammel Lairds Shipyard
Apprenticeship as a fitter/turner. I attended technical college on weekly release program and
achieved City & Guilds Part 1 and 2 in mechanical engineering craft practice.
