September 2015 – present
Working for a small building firm, project managing jobs and organising staff. Installing kitchens and
bathrooms and completing full house renovations.
My day to day task is to plan out jobs and make sure that all materials are readily available before the
job begins and then to provide support to the staff members making sure those jobs are carried out
from beginning to end with greatest efficiency.
Recruiting staff and managing a team of 7 tradesmen for different tasks and also assisting and
working on jobs myself such as plumbing in of bathrooms and fitting of kitchens and tiling.
This work has helped me to broaden my skill set towards more of a management role and the day to
day running of a business.
Going out and visiting customers, quoting for jobs as well as then liaising with the customers
throughout the process.
June 2014- September 2015

sure that all work required is done within the limited time frame we have out of the water in

Working in a team of 3 engineers and 2 assistant engineers working underneath me, it was
my duty to set tasks for the two assistants and also train up new apprentices who would be
on board as part of their training.
There was no electrician on board this ship so it has given me great opportunity to get some
hand on electrical experience, carrying out electrical maintenance on propulsion motors and
generators.
It also gave me the opportunity to work on the main switchboards replacing breakers and
performing shut downs and isolating parts of the switch board for shut down maintenance.
Carrying out breakdown maintenance.
