TESAR is acronym for “Trasformatori Elettrici Speciali Applicazioni in Resina” (Cast Resin Special
Power Transformers) - was founded in 1979 as a member of Eni Group, and was the first in Italy to start
the resin casting technique for power transformers. Now Tesar has opened new assembling plant
named TESAR GULF in UAE to provide better customer support & service to the Middle East region.
Our mission is to convert electric power by granting service continuity in every condition, even the
toughest, and to assure the highest quality and reliability of service by employing advanced
technologies.
Trainings
Completed the technical training course related to production and testing of cast resin dry type
transformer at Tesar ,SRL, ITALY for 90 days under the supervision of plant production
manager(Certificate available). After the training i was sent to Tesar Gulf, UAE for establishing the
same processes, quality & Technical support.
Responsibilities
I am directly involved in four main activities within the organisation – Projects , Production
Planning of transformer assembly , Testing of transformer , Maintenance of factory equipment.
My roles and responsibilities under senior production engineer are as follows :
1- PROJECTS :
Duration – 10 months
Team size – 3 members
• Assembly of all electrical products for the production process, such as :

3. Overhead crane, Jib crane, lifting platform, enclosure assembly platform, cutting and grinding
machine , aspiration unit.
• Assembly of all electrical products Testing equipment and machines for installation and use of
testing room.
• Electrical wiring of smoke detectors and fire alarm system to the fire alarm control panel.
• Electrical connection for fire pumps installation.
• Have worked personally for the Pre-Qualification of Dry type transformer Product range of
1000 KVA/11 KV, 1500 KVA/11KV & 22 KV, 2000 KVA/11KV & 22 KV and 2500 KVA/22 KV from
different Government Authority(ADWEA/DEWA) in United Arab Emirates .
• Also involved in getting the certification for ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System),
14001:2004 (Environmental Management System) and 18001: 2007(Health and Safety
management System).
2- PRODUCTION PLANING & CONTROL:
Duration – 36 months
Team size – 5 members
o Design and manage the streamlining of production process to increase production.
o Planning with the marketing department to make the Bill Of Material for a desired
project.
o Planning with procurement department to get the materials required to assemble the
transformer from approved vendors.
o Checking the quality of incoming material.
o Taking care of assembly of transformer is in line with the same followed at Tesar, Italy.
o Taking care of assembly of accessory for the transformer.
o Offer the product for customer witnessing at the agreed stages or as per customer
specification and verify the product/other requirements as per customer specifications.
o Ensuring completeness, correctiveness and availability of all inspection records related
to production in ISO 9001 , 14001 , 18001.
3- TESTING :
Duration – 36 months.
Team size – 1 member.
The testing of transformer has three main role:
A : Factory testing of transformer -
• Planning and scheduling of transformer to be tested.
• Assisting customer or his representative in inspection.
• Ensuring use of calibrated instruments for inspection and updating inspection and test plan for

4. periodic calibration as per program.
• In process testing of winding, core assembly and core coil assembly.
• Routine testing of transformers according to IEC60076,PART 11.
• Preparation of Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).
• Knowledge in failure modes & effects, and analysis of the failures to find the root causes.
• Documenting records related to testing for ISO 9001 , 14001 , 18001.
B : Site testing and commissioning of transformer –
• Testing of transformer at site to check the Healthiness of the transformer.
• Doing pre-commissioning check on transformer before energization of transformer.
• Checking the site conditions and making the site engineer aware about the electrical
requirements for the installation of a transformer.
• All major projects in Abu Dhabi and Dubai has our transformers and I have visited most of the
site to do the testing and commissioning. To name few :
New York University , Emirates Palace , Yas island water park , IKEA yas island, F1 race course ,
CMR Building Abu Dhabi, City of lights Abu Dhabi, Zayed Military city , Deer field town square
mall Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain University Al-Ain.
C : Training –
• To conduct training for different clients for the Installation, Use & Maintenance of the Cast
Resin Dry type transformer with presentation and on site explanation.
4- Maintenance :
• To do the periodic Preventive maintenance according to Yearly Periodic Table, this has all the
electrical equipment and its time frame for maintenance.
• To do the breakdown maintenance as and when required.
• To contact different companies and finalise the AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) for the
Tesar-Gulf factory.
• To do the calibration of all electrical and electronic equipment in factory from approved vendor.
• To change parts of electrical equipment as and when its worn out.
