Duties & Responsibilities
To be conversant with the Project HS&E Plan. Proactively participate in
Achieving the highest possible international standard of HSE implementation
As Mechanical Inspector working with for client Reperesentative as per ITP stage wise
Inspection such as Surveillance, Inspection,Installation, Mechanical completion of all
mechanical equipment of Installztion.
Check Static / Rotating and HVAC equipment arrive at site shall have each Equipment tag
number and name plate. Visual inspection for any damage cause during transportation.
Provides and maintenance of engineering equipment’s, according to the requirements of the
projects. Inspection of incoming materials as per project specifications (EIR)
Ability to interpret and understand P&IDs &GA’s and other engineering drawings.
2. Familiarization with the job specification and review all documentation associated with
Mechanical equipment including Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Procedures, Method
Statements, Vendor documentation and Maintenance and Operations Manuals.
Verify the erection of equipment such as compressors, drivers, and diesel
Equipment, Vessels and other equipment if they follow the Method of Statement.
Check equipment orientation before and after erection.
Check the physical condition of bolts and levelling of foundation before erection of equipment
Verify the preservation requirements for bolts during construction stage
Check the shimming requirements for static/rotating equipment
Execute and develop quality audit of Sub-contractors inspection documentation works For
Static and Rotating Equipment to assure that the required forms used in testing Submitted are
approved by client representative as per ITP.
Installation checklist for static/rotating equipment Levelling/alignment recording forms for
horizontal, vertical, package type Axial/radial, soft foot, and parallelism forms for pumps and
compressors.
Pump Alignment having experience and can set the alignment of rim and Face method and
reverse indicator method for floating shaft equipment
Internal inspection of vessels horizontal / vertical equipment and check the internal inspection
of vessels horizontal / vertical equipment and check the Down comer plate, filter cartridge,
distributors and others.
Check internal cleanliness of vertical and horizontal vessel prior for equipment
Temporary or final box-up. Verify the final gasket to be installed during final box-up
Checked external attachment such as platforms, ladders, support and instruments are
installed and inspected.
Checking pipeline systems post hydro test reinstatement
Confirm that all instruments used for alignment and levelling by subcontractor are Calibrated
with stickers indicated the date of calibration and re-calibration.
Responsible to conduct regular checks to verify that all mechanical equipment’s are in a safe
working condition.
Resolving interpersonal issues & working towards a harmonious work environment
Updating QC Manager with daily / weekly / monthly reports.
Educational Qualification Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Technical Qualification ASNT Certificate as per SNT-TC-1A.
ASNT Certified MT, PT, UT and RT Testing Level II
Computer knowledge Well Conversant with MS Windows, MS Office, Acrobat.
