This document outlines Vista Design and Development's maintenance process for ensuring smooth performance and safety of machines and equipment. The site engineer owns the process and ensures preventive maintenance with inputs from maintenance schedules, quality audits, and breakdown records. Outputs include routine maintenance and performance measures like the number of breakdowns between maintenance and maintenance costs. The process involves both scheduled and breakdown maintenance, with activities like replacing damaged parts, testing machines, and analyzing maintenance data. SCOPE
The Maintenance process shall ensure the overall machines and equipments routine maintenance
and hence the smooth performance and fulfill safety requirements.
PROCESS OWNER
Site Engineer shall be the owner of this process, and he will ensure the preventive maintenance
of the equipments.

BREAKDOWN MAINTENANCE
Project Engineer/Site Engineer shall keep record of break-down/failure of machine / equipment.
On receipt of any such information the same shall be entered in a Logbook with all the details.

Damaged and worn-out parts shall be replaced and the spares used to be recorded,
Before handing over the machine for production, it shall be tested on no-load by maintenance
personnel. If the machine gives satisfactory performance on no-load, it shall be tested on load by
users in presence of maintenance staff and performance recorded in the break-down logbook. If
the machine gives satisfactory performance on load, it shall be handed over to production
section.
Even after handing over the machine to production section it shall be kept under observation of
maintenance personnel for an optimum period depending upon the fault. This is done to ensure
that the machine continues to deliver output as desired.
SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
A preventive maintenance plan and checklist shall be prepared with important parameters to be
checked routinely. (Fortnightly, monthly etc.)
A master list of all machines and equipments shall prepare for maintenance plan.
The date of maintenance shall be recorded for future references. For any change of spares and
major problems corrected should be recorded.
The use of the personal protective equipments shall be made part of the instructions displayed on
the point of operation.
Maintenance data shall be analyzed to compute the following:
 Total break down hours
 Total no. of break downs
 No. of break downs between two scheduled maintenance
 Total Unavailability / Availability for the production units
 Cost of Maintenance

SUBCONTRACTED MACHINES MAINTENANCE
If any machines or construction equipments are subcontracted, subcontractor has to show the
maintenance log book, Year of purchase data, manufacturer’s data sheets just to verify the
machines working capacity. It is mandatory for avoiding overloaded work and avoiding accident.
