5. Description: To track the behaviour of online users, P&G is using a web reporting tool named Urchin
Tracking and Google analytics. These tools allow business owners to exactly identify unique
visitors, clicked paths, browser parameters, and return loyalty metrics including: first time
visitors, returning visitors, and frequency of use. The requirement of these tools is to
include few lines of script in the beginning of the each HTML/web page that is delivered to the end
user. The required script should be included in the beginning of each and every HTML/Web
page. These sites are developed by the different vendors around the globe. With past
experience of the uses of these tools, P&G has observed that the required script is missing
in some web pages in the most of the web sites. This problem is the major hurdle to track the
online behavior of the user.
To solve this problem, P&G and IGATE has analyzed the problem and decided to develop a
web crawler or a tool which will find out the web pages in which the Urchin and Google
analytics script is missing.

Description: SSIL stands for Single System Image and Link (“SSI/LINK”)
The reason for the name is that the system provides an interface to many different hosts
which perform separate business functionality. SSI did not have business functionality of its
own. Its main purpose is to allow a user to input specific business data which is sent to a
specific system and convey the results of this transaction to the user. SSI is primarily a
Screen Scraping application. This means that all requests and responses to and from a
legacy system are done by activating a screen, filling the required fields with data,
executing commands and reading (scraping) the result values on the screen.
This system began as an interface to the Trouble Entry / Trouble Reporting system, but over
the years other interface functionality has been added to it. For example, this system also
provides interface to check the status of telephone line of a customer, order dispatch of
service personnel as required, check billing status of a customer, etc.

Description: The Software is developed for Medical Transcription which takes care of encrypting and
Uploading of wave files from Physician PC to the Dictation Server and again decrypting from Dictation Server to
Transcription Server. The Voice files are transcribed in to different Kind of Documents (Doc, RTF, PDF) based upon
the Templates provided by Physician. The Transcribed Documents are again Uploaded to Dictation Server and
dumped in to Physician PC through 28-bit SSL The Software generates Invoices Fortnightly or depending upon the
dates mentioned It generates various MIS reports like Transcription done by each Transcriber, Accuracy, and Quality,
etc
Project: HR - Appraisal System (Intranet Web Application)

Description: This was a migration project from MS-Access Application to Intranet Site. The site is
developed for DHL Asia Pacific Region catering to HR - Personnel Appraisal and Assessment Techniques pertaining to
an employee. The site offers Information of an Employee in a particular region giving his personal details, education,
different positions held and assignments taken up in DHL and employee assessment. The site also offers to add an
employee, regions, areas, countries and other classifying attributes. The site allows the HR Admin to allow access
rights to different users.
Project: Payroll & Attendance Monitoring System

Description: This was a migration project from COBOL to Visual Basic done for Western Bakeries on
behalf of Maxpar Solutions. This is a typical Payroll Management Software that was developed by a third party a few
years ago for a staff of 400 (Permanent & Temporary) having different salary structure. The re-engineered
application retains all features of the existing software, which itself has been a comprehensive system catering to the
typical needs of a commercial establishment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Among the additional features that have
been incorporated are user definable formulae for earnings & deductions and wage periods
Project: WageBill (A Payroll Package)

Description: WageBill is a Payroll Product developed and marketed by Walsoft. Employees in an
organization are paid wages for pre-determined periods based on certain figures that can be classified as Common
Fixed, Common Periodic, Individual Fixed and Individual Periodic figures. The wages are a combination of Earnings
and Deductions each of which is based on certain conditions and formulae built around the aforementioned figures.
This product comes with a host of reports including statutory forms.
