2014 - current Substantive School Principal – Department of Education Tasmania
I continue to contribute to public education in a ‘girls only’ secondary setting, providing educational leadership for students,
staff and my community.
2012 - 2013 (Leave without pay) University of Melbourne – Masters in International Policy
I attended the University full time, as well as spending 3 months overseas, visiting, sharing, listening and collaborating with
vocational education and training and community hubs in England, Denmark, Germany and the United States.
2010-2011 Principal of Austin’s Ferry Primary School
This specific role required me to lead a school community toward a new beginning, closing a school and project managing the
building ofbrand new, purpose builtschool. This role required clear communication, precise time managementand the
capacity to bring people together to achieve a common goal. Iwas an effective school Principal, recognised with selection as
one of80 Principals Australia wide to undertake AITSL ‘s ‘Leading Australian Schools Program’ at Melbourne University.
2007-2009 Principal of Brent Street Primary School
In this role I learned about myself in the role of a leader. I gained understandings and knowledge around being an effective
school leader. As a Principal, Iworked with my staff, students, community and the Learning Service in a process ofschool
leadership, setting direction,aligning system goals with organisational goals, managing human, physical and financial
resources and managing the key stakeholder groups. Critical in my growth as a leader was my participation in the Tasmanian
Leaders Program, where Ideveloped capacity to listen and ‘walk in others shoes’.

2016-2014 Chair of Anzac Park Steering Committee – operating 5 sports clubs in partnership with Clarence
Council, providing surety and guidance for member clubs, strategic direction for the group and account ability for budgets,
2016 –2010 AFL Masters Tasmania – Competition Manager – together with member clubs, managing, facilitating
and directing 2 state-wide competitions with 14 teams in accordance with national AFL Masters policy and guidelines,
2016 - 2007 Coach and President of Lindisfarne Master Rules Football Club – coaching and managing people and
budgets for AFL Masters football club, growing from 18 registered players in 2007, to 4 teams and 80 players in 2016,
2016 – 2011 Game Development Officer for Glenorchy Cricket Club – providing strategic advice and setting up
