Manjunath is currently working as a Bridge design engineer in Ramboll over 3 years in design check and
assessment of bridges and other highway structures for both
UK and India market.
He also worked in Construction Company (CCCL) as a site engineer
for about 2 years in Chennai where he authorized to carry out pre-
stressing the bridge girders and also as a planning engineer at site.
He also worked as an assistant professor in civil engineering
department in college of engineering Roorkee.
In Ramboll, he worked in various diverse projects from conceptual
design Underpass Bridge (Denmark), the detailed design of integral
bridges (UK), precast railway culverts (Norway), pre-stressed
continuous bridges (India) and motorway signal gantries (UK).
He was seconded to UK Southampton Ramboll office (formerly
Gifford office) for 5 weeks to understand the design principle and philosophy for UK market.

successively deliver the task.
Eastern dedicated freight corridor package- 301 (Sahnel –Pilkani section), 302 (Dadri-khulja Section).
L&T ECC Faridabad, Delhi (Jan 2016-Mar 2016)
 Complete package involves proposing the various bridge modules for the eastern corridor of
various span configurations.
 Responsible for the detail design of 30.5m, 24.4m and 18.3m PSC girder for the DFC axle load
of 32.5t as per IRS code.
 Responsible for the detail design of 12.2 m and 8.5 m pretension girder for the DFC axle load of
32.5t as per IRS code.
M8/73/74 Gantries. (Nov 2015-Jan 2016)

 The task involves the preparation of the drawing for 54 gantries in AutoCAD as per the required
quality and standards.
 Enrolled as a project manager from REC to timely deliver 54 gantries. He was the
communication nodal point from REC to cascade all the information from RUK to REC and vice
versa.
Flyover & ROB/RUB in Uttarakhand (Oct-2015-Nov 2015)

 The package consists of detailed design of the superstructure and substructure as per IRC 21 for
the widening of the deck slab.
 Responsible for the detailed design of substructure ( Fixed, free and EJ Pier and its pier cap) and
the pile foundation for 3 and 4 span continuous bridges
A31 Magherafelt Bypass (July 2015-Sept 2015)
Department of regional development-road service, United Kingdom
 Responsible for the structural analysis and detail design of single span integral bridges. The
superstructure consists of precast pre-stressed W8 girder with cast in situ RC slab. Structure
was analysed in Lusas software as a grillage model and design done as per euro code.
 Responsible for structural analysis and detailed design of single span box culvert as per euro
code using Lusas software
Firozabad to Etowah (km.53.5 to km 115.5) access controlled expressway in the State of Uttar Pradesh,
India. (July 2015 – Aug-2015) UPEIDA, India
 The project consists of detailed design of 6 lane prestressed concrete bridges with pile
foundation.
 Manjunath was responsible for the detailed design of two superstructures and the pile
foundation as per IRC-112 code. The superstructure consist of precast post tensioned I girder of
span 44.043m (skew 47.454°) and 34.7m along with a skew of 23.077°. The in-situ RC deck
slab of 19.750 m overall width.
 The structure was analysed in Staad Pro as a grillage model and design done using IRC-112
code.
A26 dualling glarryford to A44 junction (Nov 2014 – July 2015)
Department of regional development-road service, United Kingdom
 The Project consists of detailed design and drawing of two span and single span integral bridge
with pile and open foundation in northern Ireland UK. There were 6 bridges in which 4 bridges of
two span and 2 bridges of single skew bridge. Seconded to UK Southampton office to
understand the design principles and methodology.
 Responsible of detail design of 4 bridges of both single and two span type. The superstructure
comprises of cast in situ RC deck slab with 4 pre stressed precast W beams and design by
60:40 creep redistribution method. The structure is analysed using grillage model in Lusas and
the design is done as per euro code with UK national annexure.
Pre cast culverts for railway (Aug 2014 – Oct 2014)
JERNBANEVERKET, Åsmund Tøsse, Norway
 Design of 14 different pre-cast culverts placed bellow the railway track. The purpose of this
project is to produce standard culverts for future usage around whole of Norway.
 The culvert is designed to carry the LM71 load and optimised the section for fatigue check also.
 The 2D model was prepared in STAAD Pro and Mathcad is used to prepare the report.
Conceptual design of single frame tunnel (underpass) bridge. Herning-Holstebro.
Ramboll Denmark., Denmark (July 2014)
 The Scope of work entails preparation of conceptual design of underpass bridge number 1577
which includes fixing the geometric dimension of bridge.
Manchester smart motorways gantry assessment pahse I & phase II.
Ramboll UK., United Kingdom (May 2014- June-2014)
 The task comprises the assessment of the inverted prestress U girder for the Change load on
the signal gantries.
 Responsible for the suitability of the gantry section for the proposed change load on it.
Preparation of detailed project report for construction of bridge in the state of Bihar.
Bihar State Government, India (Dec 2013 –May 2014)
 The scope of work involves preparation of DPR for the 27 bridges in the state of Bihar.
Responsible for the detailed design of 33 m span bridge. Superstructure comprises of in situ
RCC slab with PSC girder. The analysis is carried out using grillage model in STAAD and the
design using IRC 18.
 Responsible for the detail design of 16.5m span bridge. Superstructure comprises of in situ RCC
slab with RCC girder.
 Responsible for the detailed design of substructure and foundation comprises of pile and well
foundation using IRC 78.
Detailed Engineering for 3 Nos of VUP’s and 3 Nos of PUP’s for six laning of etawah chakeri section of
NH-2. (July 2013- Aug 2013)
Etawah-Chekeri Highway Ltd. Duration:2013, Location: India., India
 Responsible for the detailed design for 3 PUP’s and 3 VUP’s.
 The 3D model of skew culvert was prepared in STAAD Pro and designed as per IRC-112
guidelines.
Design of three span continuous truss girder deck-type bridge with R.C.C. deck slab.
Nirman kand, Lok Nirman vibnag, Uttarakhand. (Dec 2012-April 2013)
 The assessment of the bridge carried out under the Prof. Dr. Vipul Prakash after the bridge had
collapsed while concreting the middle span of the bridge.
 The bridge is of 3 span continuous bridge (40m+110m+40m span) steel truss deck type
bridge with RCC deck of 7.5m clear road width and 2.0m wide foot paths for 2 lane of IRC Class
A or one lane of IRC 70 Loading.
 Responsible for the detailed grillage modeling of bridge in STAAD and checking the truss
member as per the Indian code.
