Kafeero Herbert is a Ugandan national with over 7 years of experience in development work. He has extensive experience in program management, advocacy, research, and policy analysis working with organizations like SEATINI-Uganda. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies from Makerere University and has participated in many trainings to enhance his skills. Currently he serves as the Acting Documentation and Communications Officer at SEATINI-Uganda.

SUMMARY
Kafeero Herbert has extensive knowledge of development issues with sufficient practical
experience gained through working with SEATINI-Uganda and other partner organizations.
This exposure has led to acquisition of skills in programme management, documentation and
communication, research, report writing and policy advocacy which require excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. It has also led to experience in networking and project
management. Various trainings attended have also enhanced both theoretical and practical
experience in policy and practice interface on international trade policy, financing for
development and agriculture from a national, regional as well as global perspective. With over 2
years research and advocacy related experience, enormous level of skills have been gained in
engaging with private sector, civil society as well as government officials at national and local
levels.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
Participated in developing several successful funding proposals for SEATINI-Uganda
Researched, reviewed and drafted several articles and policy briefs on key development
issues.
Successfully represented SEATINI-Uganda in advocacy and policy related efforts and
campaigns organized by CSBAG and other Civil Society Organizations. Here, I
contributed to development on alternative policy positions submitted to Parliamentary
Committees(Trade and Finance, Planning and Economic Development)
Promoted SEATINI-Uganda’s outreach programme in higher institutions of learning
aimed at sensitizing the youth on current global developments and how these impact on
Africa’s development and people’s welfare.
Successfully served as an Acting program Officer at SEATINI-Uganda under financing
for Development/Tax Justice Programme and acted as a focal person for SEATINI and
her networks, groups and coalitions including CSBAG;
In the position of MUDESA chairman, I organized a public dialogue on 9th October,
