OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the session, the
students are expected to:
define electric current and
voltage; and
determine the unit, symbol,
physicist involved, and device
used of electric current and
voltage.
A. Recall:
"Jeopardy" is a classic game show strategy. The questions are
categorized into two (2) and you have to choose which category
to answer. Under each category are sub-categories which
corresponds points respectively.
Follow the Law!

Unlocking of Terms.
 Electric current (I) - measure of the number of
electrical charges passing through a cross-
section of a conductor in a given time.
 Ampere (A) – unit of current; named after
French Physicist, Andre-Marie Ampere (made
important contributions to the theory of
electricity and magnetism.
 Ammeter – device used to measure electric
current.
 Voltage (V) - is the difference in charge
between two points and the force of
electric current.
 Volts (V) – unit of voltage; named after
the Italian Physicist, Alessandro Volta
(who invented the voltaic pile, the
forerunner of what we now call the dry
cell.)
 Voltmeter – device used to measure
voltage.
ACTIVITY PROPER:
• In this activity, you must proceed to
your group and form a circle within.
Wait for the teacher to say, GO!
• Each member of the group must take
full responsibility with respect to their
assumed roles.
Mechanics:
1. Each group will be provided strips of
papers with the word/words written in it
in a jumbled manner (i.e. CURRENT –
TNERRUC) and other materials needed.
2. The jumbled letters must be unlocked by
writing your answer beside the jumbled
letters; once done, look for the definition
of the unlocked terms.
3. However, the group has to divide the
manila paper into two compartments.
