Peru's cuisine was heavily influenced by Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and West African cultures, creating a creole style through immigration in the 19th century. Peru's earliest art came from the Cupisnique culture using gold, silver and ceramics, while the Tiwanaku introduced stone architecture and sculpture; important relics can be seen today in Cusco and Machu Picchu. Peruvian architecture blends European styles with indigenous influences, exemplified by Machu Picchu and the many examples of Inca architecture remaining in Cusco.
