This document provides guidance for students on creating a culminating portfolio project for a humanities/social sciences course. It discusses:
1. The portfolio project allows students to integrate their learning from different subject areas through a creative work. Students will create and compile various works and reflections into a portfolio.
2. In light of current limitations, teachers can guide students to complete portfolio work from home by creating a plan, writing concept papers and reflections, and compiling all works for evaluation.
3. A portfolio is a compilation of academic works that evaluates student learning and can include notebooks, notes, papers, projects and self-reflections. Electronic portfolios using blogs or multimedia are also options. Guidelines ensure portfolios are appropriate
