5. Community Service Project is an experimental learning strategy that integrates meaningful
community service with instruction, participation, learning, and community development. It
involves the students in community development and service activities and applies the
experience to both personal and academic development. As a part of this project, we visited
KAKANI, a small village in the PALNADU district which is 14km away from Narasaraopet,
under the guidance of Mr. M. Balaji naik sir, Assistance Professor of the MECHANICAL
Department.
On 18th July 2022, we visited the village and collected all related information about the
educational status of students below 18 years. Based on the information we collected, we
came to the conclusion that the people in this village are not prioritizing education and they
are not focusing on their career growth. So, we decided to bring awareness about education,
technology, and the opportunities available nowadays. So, we selected the topic
“AWARENESS ON EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY” as our theme for the community

declined. The “YSR

community in a big way.
There are no social problems in the village. The people in the village are
nice to each other. We can find different religions and caste people in the
village but they are socially connected to one system.
11. PROBLEMS IDENTIFIED IN THE COMMUNITY
We collected information according to the questionnaire prepared, from 75
students. Based on the information collected, we identified 18 students are
dropped outs. The problem identified based on the data is, there are nearly 25%
dropped-outs in the village.
There are several reasons behind dropped-outs. Reasons include, low economic
conditions, academic difficulty, poor attendance, health issues, retention and
some students had no interest in studies. We then prepared short-term and long-
term action plans for possible solutions for the problems identified and
recommended to the concerned authorities for implementation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
29. As per our Observation most of the issues are not that much big
that should be considered. They can be easily done if the teachers are
willing to do. Coming to physicals parameters many schools have good
infrastructure (Because of NADU NEDU program). Most of the students
of village side are with low knowledge when compared to the students
of town. This can be overcome through the digitalization of schools.
In this small tenure of time, we just select a village called
Allurivaripalem, and started to work on our selected topic
(Education and Technology). Where we collaborated with many
village people and mostly with students. We spent our most time on
giving awareness on the benefits of having good education and
knowledge. In b/w we a few adult persons who dropped out from
their school and working for daily wages. We talk to them and
explain them the importance of education and make them to
continue to their education even in distance.
