The young girl was beautiful but lazy and treated her mother poorly, making her mother sad. When they went to the market, the girl demanded her mother walk behind her and told people her mother was her servant. In response to her mother's prayers, the girl's body slowly turned to stone, and she cried for forgiveness but it was too late. Her crying form remains as a stone that still sheds tears, called the "Crying Stone".

2. One upon a time there lived a young girl and her mother in
small village. The girl was very beautiful but very lazy. She never
helped her mother to do anything. Every day she just dressed up
and admired her beauty in the mirror. Besides, whatever she
wanted she must get it. This made her mother very sad.
One day her mother asked her daughter to accompany her
to the market to buy something.
She agreed with one condition. She said, “OK, but I don’t want to
walk beside you. You have to walk behind me” With a sad heart, the
mother agreed. So the girl walked in front and the mother followed
behind her, carrying a basket. Of course they looked very
different. The daughter looked very beautiful with her pretty
dress whereas the mother looked old in her simple dress. All the
way to the market, all people always greeted the beautiful girl and
asked who the old woman behind her was. The girl always said that
the woman was her servant. This made her mother very upset, but
she did nothing.

3. At last, the mother could not stand hearing her
daughter’s words anymore. She prayed to God to punish her
daughter and he answered her prayer. Slowly but sure, the
changed happened to her daughter. First the girl’s leg
turned into stones. Then it continued to the upper parts of
her body. The girl began panic. “Mother, please forgive me!”
She asked for her mother’s apology repeatedly, but her
mother said nothing. Then the bad daughter just cried.
Finally her whole body turned into stone.
Until now you can see the tears falling from the stone.
That is why people called it “Crying Stone”
