CRRC is a network of research and training centers in the Caucasus region. It aims to strengthen social science research and public policy analysis. It provides resources like an IT lab, library, and access to databases to researchers. CRRC also conducts surveys on topics through its Data Initiative and provides fellows with funding to conduct original policy research. It offers training workshops, conferences and blogs to disseminate social science research.

4. IT Lab The IT Laboratory is equipped with 8 cutting edge desktop workstations. The Lab offers high speed Internet, together with statistical software packages such as E-views, SPSS, STATA, MathLab, Statistica. 4 | CRRC-Armenia, March 2010

5. Library The libraries provide access to the collection of local language, English and Russian language printed materials in social sciences: textbooks, references materials, periodical publications. Data Initiative The CRRC Data Initiative (DI) is a cross-border effort initiated by CRRC from 2004 to collect data annually on a wide variety of social, political and economic indicators in the South Caucasus region. Data Initiative While the survey in 2004 was carried out only in the capitals of the SC countries, the survey of 2005 encompassed also an internal region in each country, and, since 2006 the survey had been carried out in all regions of the mentioned countries, in both urban and rural areas. 8 | CRRC-Armenia, March 2010

12. Increasingly, CRRC is involved in research projects with various organizations. 13. CRRC Publication Fellowships To support outstanding researchers interested in pursuing original policy-oriented research, in 2004, CRRC launched a fellowship program. 14. Carnegie Research Fellowship Program CRRC is happy to announce the Carnegie Research Fellowship Program. Scholars in the social sciences and the humanities may apply for individual, non-degree research opportunities at universities and institutes in the United States. The program is directed at advanced researchers that already have a demonstrated track record in research. The research period lasts up to a full semester (4 months), starting either September 2010 or January 2011. Applications need to be submitted in a hard copy to your local CRRC office.
