It was very different seeing how people were being discriminated just because of their
eye color. Some people felt very uncomfortable of the situation they were in, but for African
Americans they face these situations every day. The “aha” moment for me was when the one girl
was crying and the other girl left the room just because they felt they were being treated unfairly.
The lady doing the experiment was treating them how whites normally treat blacks. If I was put
in that situation, I would have felt very uncomfortable. I would have been scared of the lady and
do whatever she told me to do. I would have felt like a nobody and I would want to leave the
room. This experiment has opened my eyes to how blacks are being discriminated every day and
how whites, by cruel words and actions, do not even realize that they are discriminating the
blacks.
