is made clear that the United States does not use the precautionary principle
approach when it comes to evaluating how toxic a substance is (Withgott Laposata,
2014, p. 382). This lack of precaution has proven to be dangerous when it comes to
chemicals, especially when using polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). PBDEs
are chemically engineered flame retardants used during the manufacturing process of
clothing, bedding, and many other household goods. These flame retardants work by
eliminating the fire s oxygen supply, resulting in less damage to the item and a
decrease in the chance of a larger fire (Hester Harrison, 2013, p. 45). While PBDEs
may have been necessary during a time when there were fewer fire regulations, it is
clear that the negative effects of these flame retardants outweigh the benefits in today
s times.
According to the journal of Environmental Science Technology (2016), the toxicity
of PBDEs was first discovered in Sweden, when a study exposed an unsafe and
increasing level of flame retardants in the breast milk of women. This study showed

Gay marriage has been in hot debate for a while now. What once was shunned in
almost every culture and society is now creeping into our laws and customs as
normal and even acceptable due to the increase of radicals found in Anglo Saxon
societies such as the US and UK. Fueled by the recent revolutions of women and
interracial groups, homosexuals (a group less than 1 percent of the world s
population), have finally taken a stand. Marriage has been a union of opposite sexes
for nearly 5000 years and now has come into such scrutiny that it has taken on the
attention of the Supreme Court. On April 28th, 2015, the Supreme Court began the
case of Obergefell v. Hodge, the dispute which would settle the legalization of gay
marriage in the entire US. From such a case, the question arises: Should gay
marriage be legalized in the United States? After analyzing the points on both sides
of the feud, I came to the clear conclusion that the answer was no, gay marriage
should become and continue to be illegal in the United States.

Jason remarked his start as a CAD/ Surface pattern designer in 1999 led him to join
Infomax / Designtech six years later as a lead design trainer. The company had
trained designers for a long time, and since the current program was so successful he
and Meir decided to start Fashion Classroom in 2009.
Meir: As a former Garmento I had a good knowledge of what it took to design
produce garments and I started to use a computer to automate mundane tasks like
costing. But once I saw my first CAD system dedicated to knitting simulations I felt
that there was something to designing using technology that not everyone would
grasp.
Meir went on to say he knew there was a niche to take full advantage of, and how
his first clients were t shirt manufacturers whose purchase of a laser printer and

primarily exhibits plastic and ductile behaviors in the cutting process in which its
behavior is often assumed to be isotropic and homogeneous [1]. The large
deformation and unconstrained plastic flow nature of machining metals can be
modeled with an unstructured tetrahedral mesh, allowing for the adaptive local
refinement and coarsening to alleviate mesh distortions, maintain simulation
accuracy and reasonable computational performance. However, modeling of ceramic
matrix composites could be much more complex due to the unique feature of this
type of material: 1) the fracture and brittle behavior of materials; and b) the
nonuniform distribution of porosity in the ceramic matrix. CMCs are comprised of
individual layers with unique material properties dependent on fiber orientation
within the polymer matrix which is typically in a woven pattern. Therefore, CMCs
often exhibit anisotropic or orthotropic properties, and have lower strains and higher
degrees of fragmentations than metallic materials during machining. The unique
features of CMCs make simulations more challenging due to the complex nature of
the problem considering material nonlinear fracture, anisotropic or orthotropic
property and multi phase interaction apart from dynamic loading and plastic
deformation in machining of metals. Different modeling approaches have been
studied for modeling the machining of composites and CMCs, including
