The CREDNET project aims to establish a common framework for validating entrepreneurial and managerial skills acquired through non-formal learning. [1] The project involves partners from several European countries and seeks to develop a certification methodology and criteria. [2] This will help companies more easily recognize skills and qualifications, and allow managers to demonstrate competencies gained on the job. [3] The project runs from 2011-2014 and is funded by the EU's Lifelong Learning Programme.

- 4. GeneralObjectives andActivities: Thegeneralobjectivesoftheprojectarethe improvementoftherecognitionoftheskills andcompetenciesofthemanagersacquired through informaland non formallearning. Given the factthatgenerally the managers obtainmostoftheirskillsonthejobandthey do nothave any officialqualifications for them,them,itisanimportantissuefortheircareer tobeabletoprovethattheyhavetheseskills andcompetencies.Accordingtotheopinion ofthepartnership,themosteffectivewayto identify these skills and competencies are throughselfevaluation.Withtheuseofthe onlineselfevaluationtoolthatisproposedby thethe partnership,the managers willbe able easily to measure their skills and competenciesandtoseetheresultsonline. This will enable them to identify their shortagesandbemotivatedtoresolvethem. Alsotheprojectaimstocreateamethodology thatwillbespecificfortheaccreditationofthe skillsskills and competencies of the managers acquired through informaland non formal learning.Specific training actions willbe designedinordertofamiliarizethemanagers withthetool.
