2. ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
CPTL ENVIROTECH are one of the leading pollution control consultants located in Chandigarh.
Incepted about 25 years ago, they are engaged in analyzing air water and noise samples.
They also offer various services like environment services, air monitoring, water monitoring, noise monitoring, providing ETP and providing APCD.
Mentors: Er. A.K. Ummat and Mr. Sital Singh.
 Er. A.K. Ummat is a civil engineer and retired from Punjab Irrigation Department as chief engineer.
 Mr. Sital Singh is a post graduate in Biotechnology and has been running an analytical lab.

5. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT
An environmental impact assessment is a formal process used to predict the environmental consequences (positive or negative) of a plan, policy, program, or project prior the implementation decision, it proposes measures to adjust impacts to acceptable levels or to investigate new technological solution.

to identify, predict, mitigate and communicate the possible impacts due the proposed project to the Government authority and people likely to be affected
 incorporate the conditions for construction, operation, maintenance and waste disposal phases of the project
 to mitigate the negative (adverse) impacts
enhance the positive impacts for the sustainable development of the region.

The project proponent requires to apply directly to MoEF who would consider the project for grant or rejection of Environmental Clearance based on the recommendation of Expert Appraisal Committee at Central Level.

Basic description of the project
Activity-
 Construction, operation or decommissioning of the Project involving actions, which will cause physical changes in the locality
 Use of Natural resources for construction or operation of the Project
 Use, storage, transport, handling or production of substances or materials, which could be harmful to human health or the environment or raise concerns about actual or perceived risks to human health.
 Production of solid wastes during construction or operation or decommissioning (MT/month)

Considering all the parameters, Form 1 and prefeasibility report was prepared as per GoI Notification dated 14/09/2006 so as to get Environmental Clearance by MoEF, GoI, New Delhi, so as to assess the likely impacts of the proposed expansion with the implementation of the program and to suggest remedial measures.
