Yuvraj Singh is an Indian cricketer who served as a role model. He debuted for India in 2000 and had notable performances in the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup where he was named player of the tournament. Though interested in other sports as a child, his father encouraged him to pursue cricket. After being told he couldn't be a cricketer, Yuvraj was determined to prove himself. He was diagnosed with cancer after the 2011 World Cup but continued playing until requiring treatment. After recovering, Yuvraj returned to playing for India and opened a trust to help cancer patients.
