To Whom It May Concern:
I hope this letter finds you well.
I am writing to express my interest in your current opening. Please allow me to submit my resume for your review.
Having served in planning and allocation roles for several years, with continued success in meeting business/operational goals, I am
confident that I can make a valuable contribution to your organization's future projects and initiatives.
Though I haven’t worked in corporate retail in a few years, I have leveraged my skills and experiences to start my own fashion line in
which I was a Designer-In-Residence for the 2013 class of the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator. While in the program, I refined my
skill through planning and retail math courses; building upon the knowledge that I attained from years of working in the industry
and also to strengthen my business. With the combination of my education, my experience at companies such as Macy’s, Victoria’s
Secret, Saks and Foot Locker, as well as my continued education and the development of my small business, what I bring to the
position is a combination of team leadership, strategic planning, and business development skills that I have leveraged to meet and
exceed expectations. I analyze core operational/business functions and implement the most appropriate solutions that drive
continual business growth. Significant accomplishments and contributions I have made to my current and past employers include:
• Merchandise analysis resulting in the timely and cost-efficient allocation of the department’s most promotional items.
• Evaluated profitability for in-season sales, financial and inventory performance and suggested adjustments increasing sell-
through percentages across our top selling categories.
• Drove sales to consistently meet and exceed seasonal financial plans while other locations and the company, as a whole, was
experiencing negative percentages to both their plan and their sales numbers from the previous year.
My resume contains additional details regarding my career responsibilities. I would welcome an opportunity for a personal interview
to discuss your organization's needs and the results you can expect from me in addressing those needs. Thank you in advance for
your time and review of my qualifications.
Sincerely,
Trisha Williams
