Title of Course: E-Chalk for Elementary Teachers

Course Description:
The maximum number of participants will depend on the number of computers. Will it be held at Claremont?
In this course participants will learn how to create, expand and refine Teacher Class Web pages. Included in class
page creation are the aspects of creating a profile with an image and uploading files. The teacher class page will
display any and all announcements, assignments, (Calendar View), and resources. Once the page is created, it
can be displayed for public viewing.

Course Requirement for participants:
Participants will create an e-chalk page using the templates presented and present the web page to the class
during the last session.

Session 1                                        Defining a Class Profile-teachers will learn
                                                 how to insert basic information about their
                                                 class
Session 2                                        Teachers will learn how to post homework,
                                                 assignments, quizzes, projects, etc. to the
                                                 Work & Events section of the class page.
                                                 After learning how to do so, teachers will
                                                 post these items with our help.
Session 3                                        Teachers will learn how to post
                                                 announcements in the Announcement
                                                 section of the page. They will access the e-
                                                 chalk image gallery and learn how to add
                                                 images to the announcement as they see fit.
                                                 After learning how to do so, teachers will
                                                 post these items with our help.
Session 4                                        Teachers will learn how to create web links
                                                 to internet sites, download files and folders
                                                 from their local computer, include class
                                                 surveys, etc. to the Resources area of their
                                                 page. After learning how to do so, teachers
                                                 will post these items with our help.
Session 5                                        Teachers will learn how to make their page
public and share them with the class.
