• India about 1500 B.C.
• 7000 old in Pakistan.
• Mostly cultivated in China, USA, India & Pakistan

Locality
• Grows in Tropical &
Subtropical locations.
• Soil temperature must be
60 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Harvesting approximately
150 to 200 days.

• Cotton grows well in fertile soil.
• Ranges from sands to very heavy clays.
• Best cotton lands are mixture of clay & sandy loam.
10. Seed Rate
• 75% germination rate used 6 kg/Acre.
• 60% germination rate is used 8 kg/Acre.
• 6-8 kg/Acre is used in case of ridges sowing.

Cotton is sown from 15 April to 15 May.
