- Netiquette is a portmanteau (a word whose form and
meaning are derived from a blending of two or more
distinct forms). Net +Etiquette
- The "proper" manner of communication in the online
environment. Whenever you communicate in the
virtual world, consider the following "rules," adapted
from Virginia Shea's Core Rules of Netiquette.
