The Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at Wake Forest University is holding its annual CASA Royale philanthropy event on February 5, 2015 to support the Guardian Ad Litem and CASA programs in Winston-Salem that provide legal advocates for abused and neglected children. The letter requests that the company donate either a gift certificate or merchandise for the auction to help raise funds, as donations are necessary to keep the event running each year. To Whom It May Concern,
Our annual philanthropic fundraiser, CASA Royale, will be held this year on February 5,
2015 at Wake Forest University. As you may know, donations are necessary to keep our
philanthropy event running each year, and we are hoping your corporation is willing to show
support for the greater Winston-Salem Guardian Ad Litem organization.
Our philanthropy will support CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and Guardian
Ad Litem in Winston-Salem. Guardian Ad Litem and CASA are programs that provide a legal
advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system. Throughout North Carolina, the
Guardian ad Litem Program seeks to serve the best interests of thousands of children who find
themselves the subjects of court cases by assigning them Guardian ad Litem volunteers. This
program exists in every county throughout the state, and it serves more than 15,000 children a
year.
The Kappa Alpha Theta CASA Royale philanthropy event attracts more attendees each
year, but we depend on the added support of our friends in the business community who supply
us with exciting auction items. Would you be willing to donate either a gift certificate or
merchandise from your business? All donations that are made will be tax deductible.
Our organization’s ability to continue to support Guardian Ad Litem and CASA is due in
large part to the generous support of individual donors who believe in our mission, as well as
gifts from businesses and corporations. Thank you for considering our request, and we hope you
join with us to support those who are the legal voices for neglected and abused children.
Sincerely,
Emma Rigau (CASA Royale Marketing Chair)
