This document contains an English language workshop exercise on contrast connectors. It provides examples of contrast connectors such as whereas, although, even though, however, despite/in spite of, and on the other hand. Learners are asked to fill in blanks with the appropriate connector, join sentences using a connector, and rewrite sentences using a specified connector. The goal is to practice using contrast connectors to join or rewrite sentences.

A. Fill in the blanks with one of the following contrast connectors: WHEREAS, ALTHOUGH, EVEN
THOUGH, HOWEVER, DESPITE/IN SPITE OF, ON THE OTHER HAND.
