a Venn Diagram problem.
Problem
A group of Grade 7 STE students of MNHS conducted a
survey among their 50 schoolmates on what ball games
they prefer most to play. 18 students preferred to play
basketball, 23 for volleyball , 27 for badminton, 3 both
basketball and volleyball 13 for both volleyball and
badminton , 1 for both basketball and badminton and
only 1 choice to play all ballgames.
Questions
1. How many students preferred to play basketball only ?
2. How many students preferred to play volleyball only ?
3. How many students preferred to play badminton only ?
4. How many students preferred to play basketball and volleyball only?
5. How many students liked to play badminton and basketball only?
6. How many students liked to play volleyball and badminton only?
7. How many students liked all the ball games?
8. How many student didn’t liked any of the ball games?
9.How many students are there in all?
there are 13 student who liked
basketball only
there are 6 student who liked volleyball only
there are 12 tudent who liked badminton only
there are 3 students who like basketball and
volleyball only
there are 1 student who liked badminton and
basketball only
there are 13 student who liked volleyball angd badminton only
there are 2 student who didnt liked any of the ball games
there are 50 students in all
