2. NICHE (The Zoological Society)
The department of Zoology has a zoological society,
NICHE. NICHE organizes various intra/ inter-college
academic, co-curricular activities regularly to
promote student’s skills and boost their confidence.
NICHE is run by the joint efforts of the faculty
members, non-teaching staff and students of the
department.
The Departmental Society fosters students by
organizing interactions with renowned scientists
through lectures, workshops and seminars. The
interactive talks expose the students to the
intellectual breadth and skills necessary for rigorous
research with an interdisciplinary
approach.
In the academic year 2019-2020, NICHE celebrated
25 years of the establishment of the department of
Zoology in the college. The society organized a series
of talks by its alumni who not only briefed the
students about their area of work but also inspired
them with their achievements.
3. SYMBIOX (OUR DEPARTMENTAL FEST):
The annual departmental fest, SYMBIOX, is
dedicated to the department’s achievements
during the last 28 years and included several
events to nurture student’s talents. The society has
brought out a magazine, Camouflage, with articles
contributed by the staff, students and alumni.

6. QUIZZARD:
Unlocking knowledge at the speed of thoughts.
Symbiox’24 presents QUIZZARD. A round-based
quiz competition on General Studies and Sciences,
which tests your knowledge as well as
question-solving skills. So, grab along a partner
and come participate.
RULES:
➢ Eligibility- Participants of all departments
in the college can participate.
➢ Team composition - 2 Members.
➢ Entries – By scanning the QR CODE.
➢ Theme – General Studies and Science.
➢ Gameplay – The first round is an
audiovisual/question-based prelim. A total
of 6 finalists will be selected from the prelim
round based on their scores. After the
prelim round, the finalist will have to
compete in 5 more rounds of the main quiz.
The winner will be decided on the
performance in those 5 rounds.
7. ➢ Prize – 1000₹ cash prize for the winner.
Exciting prizes for the finalists and
audience.
➢ The use of mobile phones is strictly
prohibited during quizzes for participants. If
anyone is caught doing so then the team will
be disqualified.
➢ The decision of the judges will be final.

Not all treasure is of silver and gold, mate! So
ready to hunt the treasure in our college We are
coming with our styled treasure hunt (THE WIZ
ESCAPE)

➢ Students from all the departments of our
college are eligible to participate in this
treasure hunt. of only two members.
➢ You can participate by entering your details
just by scanning the QR CODE
➢ The use of mobile phones for any kind of
help is strictly prohibited.
➢ If anyone is caught using a mobile phone
will be disqualified immediately.
GAMEPLAY
➢ At first all the participants will be given a
distorted picture of a spot in our college and
with the help of the picture they have to find
their respective clues.
➢ Prizes will be awarded to the team that
completes the hunt first.

11. COMPULSIVE LYRES
Compulsive lyres contain three rounds:
1. A trivia quiz to see how many Bollywood actors
and actresses you can recognise.
2. Can you guess the Hindi song by just listening to
their English lyrics.
3. Testing your love for movies by guessing the
movie name by seeing an emoji.
RULES
➢ Participants should rely on their knowledge
and should not use any external resources to
find the answer.
➢ The participants have to answer the given
question in the given time. Points will be
awarded for each correct answer.
➢ The teams with the most points at the end of
the game will be declared as the winners.

13. BRAIN BINDER
The Zoological Society of Acharya Narendra Dev
College is organising a crossword brain binder to
check the crossword skills of the participants. A
team of two players will work together to solve the
clues and fill in the grid.
RULES
➢ The Crossword is to be solved in the set time
limit (15:00 min).
➢ Participants must rely solely on their
knowledge and skills. Using external resources
like dictionaries or the internet is typically not
allowed.
➢ Answers must be spelled correctly and fit
within the given grid.
➢ Each square should have only one letter; all
words should have one letter. All words must
intersect accordingly.
➢ Points will be awarded based on the number
of correct answers and the time taken to
complete the puzzle. The team with the
highest score wins.

15. LENS THE BIOTA:
The photography competition in which
participants have to click photos on nature and
biodiversity theme.
RULES:
⮚ Eligibility- students from any department of
the college can participate.
⮚ Solo participation
⮚ Participants have to send 3 best pictures
clicked by themselves then the coordinating
team will decide on the final 10 pictures which
will be framed in front of the zoology
department and evaluation will be done by the
judges.

DODGEBALL:
Objective: The objective of dodgeball is to eliminate all players
on the opposing team by hitting them with thrown balls or
catching balls thrown by the opposing team.
Team Composition: Each team typically consists of 4-5
players.

with their body or they fail to catch it. If a thrown
ball is caught by a member of the opposing team,
the thrower is eliminated, and the catcher's team
can bring back one of their eliminated players into
the game.
Winning: The game is won when all players on one
team have been eliminated. The opposing team is
then declared the winner.
18. Fouls: Certain actions, such as deliberately
throwing the ball at an opponent's head or
crossing the centreline of the court, may result in a
foul and the player committing the foul being
eliminated from the game
MUSICAL CHAIR
Setup: Arrange chairs in a circle, with one fewer
chair than the number of players. For example, if
there are 10 players, use 9 chairs. Place the chairs
facing outward, so the players can easily walk
around them.
Music: Play music while the players walk around
the chairs in a circle. When the music stops, the
players must quickly find a chair to sit on.
Elimination: There will always be one player left
standing because there is one less chair than
players. The player without a chair is eliminated
from the game.
Final Round: In the final round, with two players
and one chair, play the music one last time. When
the music stops, the players must race to sit in the
19. remaining chair. The player who sits in the chair
wins the game!
BALLOON STOMPING:
Welcome to the balloon stomping challenge! This
fun and energetic activity is designed to promote
teamwork, agility, and quick thinking. Here are the
rules for participants:
Objective: The goal of the game is to stomp on and
pop as many balloons as possible within a
specified time limit.
Safety First: Be mindful of your surroundings and
fellow participants to avoid collisions or injuries
during the game.
Teamwork: Work together with your teammates to
strategize and cover as much ground as possible to
maximize balloon popping.
20. Fair Play: Avoid intentionally blocking or
hindering other participants from popping
balloons. Play with integrity and sportsmanship.
Keep Moving: Stay active and keep moving
throughout the game to increase your chances of
popping balloons and contributing to your team's
success.
BEND YOUR BUTT
Game play - There will be a rope, which will tied to
the two ends of the poles and the participants have
to bend their body and cross the rope without
touching it.
After each round the length b/w the ground and
rope will be shorten.
