Connect+ Story

Basically, the story is quite simple. Our team was
formed since we all wanted to do something
challenging and fun. Our team consisted of 2
engineers and 1 business student. We were
having difficulties trying to share information to
ourselves via mobile devices. So what if we could
simplify that sharing process. We did just that. We
started to investigate different ways and
alternatives to share information to multiple
phones in an instant. The process was quite
extensive and there is still a lot of work to do to
achieve such an innovative new app. Our team is
committed, but more work will be done after this
Connect+ Problem
The main problem with existing mobile phones is there inability to share information to
other phones quickly and conveniently. Users have difficulty sending pictures, files,
and videos to multiple users without resourcing to third party apps like Facebook.
Another major problem we want to gradually fix is the ability for people to start
communicating more personally rather then offline communication(ie, Facebook). Our
solution will allow that human interaction at a more personal level as well.

  Advantages
   Easy to use

 Share pictures, video, and data

   Share with multiple phones

Connect+ Key Resources

 The key resources to make this application on the phone include
 3 software engineering students regarding mobile application
    development
 Setting up a website to get the customer interested about the
    application.
 Setting up a cloud information system AWS(Amazon Web Services)
to store the information for each user.
 Surveying potential customers about their needs being satisfied
    whether from our advertising options.
 Business Personal to organize certain events for meeting clients or
    expanding relations in the company.
 Attending Local Start-up competitions to get small seed capital
Connect+ Cost Structure

The most important costs in the business would be human capital cost,
marketing to the public, and the cost
to sell in online stores.
•FIXED Cost: Human Capital($20,000/employee)--equity(9%)
•VARIABLE Cost: Marketing, New Employees, Maintainability
•Emergency Cost
•Online Fees: Google Play/Apple Store
•Cost of Maintaining Cloud Service with AWS
Connect+ Revenue Streams

Discussion of All Survey Results
From the following survey and interviews:
 Customers are willing to spend money on a good
    product.
 Customers like utility and social networking apps
the most; this will make Connect+ great because it
    combines both.
Important: The main assumption in this

 Customers agree there is a lack of sharing to
larger groups on current phone systems.
 The later survey reaffirms our business model
about giving value the customer needs
 Interviews told us that customers are interested in
    Connect+
Conclusion

              "Sharing on phones has
                 always been an issue;
                 this product will change
                 how we interact with
                 new information."
