This document discusses different types of conditional sentences in English. Type 0 conditionals express general truths using the simple present tense in both clauses, such as "If you heat water to 100C, it boils." Type 1 conditionals express possible future events, using the simple present in the if-clause and will/can/may + verb in the main clause, like "If it rains tomorrow, we can't go to the park." Several example sentences are provided to illustrate each type of conditional.

1. CONDITIONALS We use conditional sentences expressing conditions. A conditional sentence has two parts:If Clause & Main Clause(Result Clause)

2. Type 0 Conditionals We use type 0 conditionals when we talk about general truths,natural events : -If you heat the water to 100c,it boils. - If you boil the water, it evaporates. -If you don’t water the flowers,they die . -If you eat too much,you get fat. -If you put sugar in tea,it dissolves .

3. IF CLAUSE+MAIN CLAUSE In type 0 conditionals we use Simple Present tense (for both clauses)

4. Type 1 Conditional Clauses In type 1 conditionals there is a real possibility(future possibility).In this type conditionals we use Simple Present Tense for If Clause,and will/can/may/must/should(+verb 1) for Main Clause.

5. - If the weather is good tomorrow,we will go for a picnic. -If you study hard,you can pass the exam. -If they invite us,we will go to the party. -If my mother isn’t tired,she will make a cake. -If the car brokes down,my father can’t go to work by car.

6. - If it rains tomorrow,we can’t go to park. -If you don’t listen to the teacher,you can’t understand the lesson. -If Nuran gets good marks,her dad will buy a new computer for her. -If Murat doesn’t do his homework,his teacher will be angry with him.
