The document discusses three principles about acts of man and their relation to voluntariness and responsibility. The first principle states that preceding desires lessen the voluntary nature of an act. The second principle is that preceding desires do not destroy the voluntariness of an act. The third principle is that subsequent desires, no matter how strong, do not lessen the voluntary nature of an act. Therefore, for acts preceded by desire the doer is less responsible due to reduced voluntariness, but for acts followed by desire the doer is fully responsible since voluntariness is still present.
