The document discusses the requirements for machinery to comply with the Machinery Directive, which became mandatory in the European Union in 1995. It defines machinery as assemblies of parts including at least one moving component used for industrial purposes. Compliance requires a technical file demonstrating the machinery meets safety requirements, a declaration of conformity, and affixing the CE mark. For most machinery, manufacturers can self-certify compliance by preparing a technical file and declaration of conformity. A small percentage require certification by a Notified Body which evaluates the technical file and inspects the machinery. The technical file must be kept on file for 10 years after the last unit is produced. Other applicable directives on electromagnetic compatibility, low voltage equipment, may also require compliance.

ANSPs are concerned about the increasing integration of drones into airspace as it poses safety and regulatory challenges. Currently, ANSPs do not provide air traffic services for or have visibility into civil drone operations below 500 feet in uncontrolled airspace. However, ANSPs see a need to develop innovative infrastructure and services to safely manage the exponential growth of small drone operations in class F and G airspace through approaches like smart use of technologies like ADS-B and geo-fencing to segregate drone traffic from other aircraft. Ultimately, achieving an acceptable level of safety for all airspace users will require new procedures, rules, training and mitigations as drone operations become more prevalent.

THE INTEGRATION OF RPAS IN CIVIL AIRSPACE by Anna MasuttiALIAS Network
The European Commission published a communication to establish a legal framework for integrating remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) into common airspace by 2018. Key challenges include a lack of harmonized regulations across Europe and incomplete technologies. The communication sets out a roadmap to facilitate all types of RPAS by 2018 with initial results in 2016, and further integration by 2023 by potentially lifting remaining restrictions. It aims to develop a clear legal and technical framework, meet timeline goals, support European aviation industry, and coordinate internationally. Further research is needed to validate technologies like command and control, detect and avoid, security, and contingency procedures.
Finavia provides airport services across 25 airports in Finland. The presentation discusses strategies for implementing security at Finavia airports, particularly rural airports with limited staffing. It proposes utilizing an access control system to identify approved suppliers at security checkpoints. A process is outlined to centrally approve suppliers as "known" and issue badges for access. For rural airports, the presentation recommends training multifunctional personnel and using a risk assessment tool to determine appropriate security measures based on airport characteristics. It also suggests using simulator programs to conduct mandatory security training virtually.

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!

Influencing national and international (EU) politics to enable the EU drone market with transparent rules, that
– apply to all operators, manufacturer, and products in the EU equally
– allow to operate UAS cross-border and BVLOS without limits if operator complies with safety requirements.
– certify manufactures with proven quality and safety standards and reinforce local, specialized industry.
– provide consistent and unified training standards for pilots and personal to minimize risk and incidents
– require adequate safety for the public and manned aviation to avoid hazards.
Strategy
UAV DACH’s invites the UAS community to find common grounds to empower an agreed
voice towards the EU, EASA, standardizations bodies and national authorities.
Keep unmanned aviation simple and affordable, require high safety standards where needed,

– Operator applies for an approval in the country
where the mission is conducted.
– Operator needs to translate request, needs to apply
with the state’s forms.
– For the most operators CA has no track record
– Ultimately one operator applies at 32 CAs?

– Operator requests an approval at the CA in the state
of registration.
– Operator uses same forms every time in his mother
tonged language or English
– Operator knows the process, quality of requests is
higher
– CA can build up a track record of operators and is
able to qualify the operator
– CA coordinates process with other CAs and adapts
lessons learned within the network of Cas
Process is easier, faster, safety is higher, complexity
reduces

Proposed authorisation process in detail
UAV DACH - 24.1.19 - European Drone Operations - CivOPS2019 Madrid
12. ARO.OPS.150 Authorisation of high risk commercial
specialised operations
(a) Upon receiving an application for the issue of a high risk
commercial specialised operations authorisation, the
competent authority of the operator shall review the operator's
risk assessment documentation and standard operating
procedures (SOP), related to one or more planned operations
and developed in accordance with the relevant requirements of
Annex VIII (Part-SPO).
(f) Upon receiving an application for the issue of an
authorisation for a cross-border high risk commercial
specialised operation, the competent authority of the operator
shall review the operator's risk assessment documentation and
standard operating procedures (SOP) in coordination with the
competent authority of the place where the operation is
planned to be conducted. When both authorities are satisfied
with the risk assessment and SOP, the competent authority of
the operator shall issue the authorisation.
Reference to existing rule ARO.OPS.150
UAV DACH - 24.1.19 - European Drone Operations - CivOPS2019 Madrid
The proposed procedure is not new, but known
as ARO.OPS.150 Authorisation of high risk
commercial specialised operations.
The option to apply standard scenarios does not
conflict with this procedure, moreover it is a pre-
confirmed permission of both CAs.
Also, if the operator holds a LUC, the notification
to the authorities could be managed by the CA in
the state where the operator is registered.
