Apex/BHP Billiton Petroleum, SGS/Petrofac Development and Hess Corporation included:
Experience in the design and operation of wells in a variety of different international regions and environments
both onshore and offshore. Such completions involve high-profile projects, e.g. deep-water and sand control
environments (requiring application of intelligent systems,sand control tools, and pumping equipment), high rate well
completion designs, high temperature high pressure (HTHP) environments, zonal isolation, water shut-off, and high
cost completions.
Directs Basis of Well Design document (e.g. detail completion concept, screen size, pressure & temperature limit

sand face (reservoir) to wellhead.
Utilizes TCP - Tubing conveyed perforating, bridge plugs, packers, and openhole/gravel packed completions.

Optimizes completion operations for vertical and horizontal producers, and water injection wells.

Leads completion design focusing on completion strategy, completion type and fluid design, sand control
technologies, perforation plan for each generic well type, well bore hydraulics, tubular connections, instrumentation
requirements, artificial lift designs and selection, and wellhead designs.
Maintains knowledge base in completion and production technology and incorporates value-added technology into
development plans, completion/production procedures, and technology planning/budgeting.
Carriesout technical support for use of packersand/or other downhole tools for MultiStage Completionapplications.
In charged of well completion, having capability to formulate high level design (gauges, sleeves, gas-lift valves, sand
control) with knowledge of TSA - Tubing Stress Analysis under different well operating environments.
An in depth understanding of well design, stress calculations, tubing movement, drilling fluids and completion

Leads the CWOP (Complete Well on Paper) review and develops risk analysis to mitigate risk.
Oversees multi-disciplinary teams (Geology, Geophysics, Geomechanics, and Hydrogeology, Reservoir, Drilling,
Facilities, Operations and Regulatory personnel) to support project development plans and execution.

Drives, leads and optimizes the subsurface efforts of the new technology projects, including but not limited to:
Underbalanced drilling (UBD), hydraulic fracturing, and acid stimulation for wells.
Applies experience in conducting well performance modeling, decline curve analysis,steady-state and time-lapse
nodal analysis, rate and pressure transient analysis.
Designs the intelligent completions (IC) solution (employed to control lateral production) which consists of inflow
control valves (ICVs), permanent downhole monitoring system gauges, and multiport packers.
Installs the HLWM connect system which provides the flexibility to replace the ESP without having to retrieve the
intelligent completion (ICVs, multiport packers, etc.). This way saves cost and time.
Uses Schlumberger technology of mixing components of intelligent technology aimed at reservoir management
with ESP remote monitoring and control. This combination enables increased flow rates (up to 20%) or ultimate
reserves recovery (up to 12%) by optimizing pump performance.
Changes or shuts off flow (with surface-actuated downhole control valves) from distinct producing wells without
intervention costs or risks in multizone completions.
Ensures that standards for well integrity are adhered to as part of the completion design.
Runs input for Well Integrity System (WIS).
Directs input into well integrity by establishing the operating boundaries (erosion rates, temperatures, pumping
limits, chemical restrictions, etc.) of the well and the operating envelope to Well Engineering, Production Operations
and Process Engineering.
Develops and review comprehensive Basis of Completion Design documents for new wells.
Reviews and approves expenditures for completion activities to reduce costs and enhance efficiencies.
Keeps abreast of new equipment, processes, techniques and technical information relative to critical well
