Completing Assessment Plans

Assessment Plans are a statement of intent and a point of reference
for the candidate and the assessor on how the NVQ is going to be
 attempted.

It is not set in concrete and both parties will review the Plan as progress is
 or isn’t made (see A1.3 criteria M).

The measurement of a good Plan is one that either party can pick up
days or weeks later and understand.
Completing Assessment Plans
The candidate is encouraged to read the standards
and plan how he/she might meet the standards
and where the evidence may come from
Completing Assessment Plans
The candidate needs to think which people can help
and what people are referred to in the standards
Completing Assessment Plans
The Assessor advises how the evidence can be assessed.
Sometimes there are directions in the Evidence Requirements
and/or Range Statements in the standards that have to be
followed - in these cases it is non-negotiable. However,
when there are no directions, the Assessor and the Candidate
can agree the best methods with a regard to cost and opportunity

No plan is any good if it has no timings.
Therefore try to agree dates or “by” times
in order to drive the process and
the motivation of the candidate.
