Competency Determine the historical impact of art on modern culture, society, and the workplace. Scenario Your local library has decided to hang artwork in its lobby. You volunteer at the library and heard that the director of the library plans to go to the mall and buy artwork off the shelf in a home decor store to decorate the walls. You are outraged, and feel that the library presents an ideal space for more meaningful public displays. After all, your town has such a rich and interesting history, and there are some artists and craftspeople living in the area. You decide to approach the City Council Chair to voice your concerns, but he informs you that the library is on a tight budget, and he doesn’t see the need to spend too much of tax payers money on “decorations.” You now plan to attend the next City Council meeting to convince the town to do more with the exhibiting space at the library, and that it doesn’t have to be expensive if the displays are cultivated from regional resources. Instructions For this assignment, you may use your current location, or pick another American city.(ST. The primary difference is that while one goes to an art museum to view art and learn about art from an educational or cultural experience; one goes to an art gallery to view art, discover new artists, possibly from the perspective of purchasing the art.
Most museums are funded by governments, foundations, and corporate and private donors, and they are operated on a non-for-profit basis. Galleries seek to make profit and gain exposure for themselves and the artists they represent.Art galleries, are usually small businesses or centers that exhibit art for the purposes of promoting and selling art. One would typically visit an art gallery to discover an artist, possibly with an interest in buying the art. Art museums, on the other hand, are larger and are intended for education and cultural experiences. One would typically visit an art museum to view and study its permanent collection or to visit a touring exhibit of works on loan from another museum or institution.

Compare the style, influences, and meaning or intent of each piece, highlighting any changes (if any) from the first to last piece.
Explain your reasons for selecting the pieces in a discussion of the reasons for the artist’s popularity and / or impact on the art world.
Summarize the main points of three (3) works discussed in your paper in a PowerPoint presentation of at least three (3) slides. Each of the slides should have three to four (3-4) short bullet points and notes about the works in the slide notes section. Include a cover page for the PowerPoint. Add the slides with notes to your paper.
Include four (4) references that help support your claims. (The text may be used as one (1) reference.)
Visiting a Museum
It makes sense to approach a museum the way a seasoned traveler approaches visiting a city for the first time. Find out what is available to see. In the museum, find out what sort of exhibitions are currently housed in the museum and start with the exhibits that interest you. If there is a travelling exhibition, it’s always a good idea to see it while you have the chance. Then, if you have time, you can look at other things in the museum.
Make notes as you go through the museum and accept any handouts or pamphlets that the museum provides free. While you should not quote anything from the printed material when you do your report, the handouts may help to refresh your memory later.
The quality of your experience is not measured by the amount of time you spend in the galleries or the number of works of art that you actually see. The most rewarding experiences can come from finding three (3) pieces of art or exhibits that intrigue you and then considering those works in leisurely contemplation. Most museums even have benches where you can sit and study a particular piece.
If you are having a difficult time deciding which pieces to write about, ask yourself these questions: (1) If the museum you are visiting suddenly caught fire, which three (3) pieces of art or exhibits would you most want to see saved from the fire? (2) Why would you choose those two (2) particular pieces?

Summary
Objectives: To determine whether tango dancing is as effective as mindfulness meditation in
reducing symptoms of psychological stress, anxiety and depression, and in promoting well-being.
Design: This study employed analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and multiple regression analysis.
Participants: Ninety-seven people with self-declared depression were randomised into tango
dance or mindfulness meditation classes, or to control/waiting-list.
Setting: classes were conducted in a venue suitable for both activities in the metropolitan area
of Sydney, Australia.
Interventions: Participants completed six-week programmes (1½ h/week of tango or medita-
tion). The outcome measures were assessed at pre-test and post-test.
Main outcome measures: Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale; The Self Esteem Scale; Satisfac-
tion with Life Scale, and Mindful Attention Awareness Scale.
Results: Sixty-six participants completed the program and were included in the statistical anal-
ysis. Depression levels were significantly reduced in the tango (effect size d = 0.50, p = .010),
and meditation groups (effect size d = 0.54, p = .025), relative to waiting-list controls. Stress
levels were significantly reduced only in the tango group (effect size d = 0.45, p = .022). Attend-
ing tango classes was a significant predictor for the increased levels of mindfulness R2 = .10,
adjusted R2 = .07, F (2,59) = 3.42, p = .039.
Conclusion: Mindfulness-meditation and tango dance could be effective complementary
adjuncts for the treatment of depression and/or inclusion in stress management programmes.
Subsequent trials are called to explore the therapeutic mechanisms involved.

Do some research to find an organization that is selling a product or a service. Using the Five Forces Model, write an analysis of how Information Technology/Information Systems (IT/IS) is or could impact EACH of the 5 forces (positively or negatively) in your chosen organization. A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
