The symbolic meanings of characters in Everyday Use (Alice Walker)
In Everyday Use , the author Alice Walker addresses the dilemma of African Americans who are
striving to escape from prejudice and poverty, risk a terrible displacement (Cowart, 171). Also
different sides of culture and heritage are described in the story through the characters of Dee,
Maggie and Johnson, each with divergent personalities in life. Dee is described as a young
women, who came back to her rural home after a long time period and want to become more
stylish, modern. Also, she wants to adopt a new American culture instead of traditional African
American culture. In the story, Dee (Wangero), fails to achieve her goal of getting quilts from her

say her Dee, call her with me a new name Wangero. Her mother wanted to know that what
happened to her then she said I couldn t bear it any longer, being named after the people who
oppress me (Walker 819). It signifies that she refuses African American culture and want to live
with a new identity. In addition, Black arts movements influences Dee s attitude to traditional
culture. These movements change her lifestyle. She wants to be modern, stylish and fashionable.
Dee s mother says At sixteen she had her own style and I know what that was (Walker 818), her
mother said this, when Dee decided to wear fashionable yellow organdy dress at her post
secondary education. It signifies that Dee wants to be look different from her mother and her sister
who were living in the old traditional ways.
The character Maggie symbolizes African American community who have a lot of knowledge
about the history of their culture and wants to be connected with their heritage through their lives.
(Farrell, 183 184). In the story, when Maggie says that she would use the quilts every day in her

History of the Company, Solyndra In 2005, Chris Gronet formed a company named Gronet
Technologies and within eight months changed that name to Solyndra. Gronet had a
revolutionary idea about solar panels; make them tubular. Look at the picture long enough, and
you re going to realize there s a lot of wasted space, and a cylinder might work better, Gronet, said
in a 2008 interview with The Chronicle. (Said, 2011). In December of 2006 the company applied
for a government guaranteed loan. (The Washington Post, 2011). Coupled with that government

5. Essay on Analysis of Blackberry Picking by Seamus Heaney
Analysis of Blackberry Picking by Seamus Heaney
Once the reader can passes up the surface meaning of the poem Blackberry Picking, by Seamus
Heaney, past the emotional switch from sheer joy to utter disappointment, past the childhood
memories, the underlying meaning can be quite disturbing. Hidden deep within the happy go lucky
rifts of childhood is a disturbing tale of greed and murder. Seamus Heaney, through clever diction,
ghastly imagery, misguided metaphors and abruptly changing forms, ingeniously tells the tale that
is understood and rarely spoken aloud. Seamus Heaney refers to Bluebeard at the end of stanza
one. Bluebeard, according to the footnote, is a character in a fairy tale who murders his wives.

Realizing unconsciously seems like an oxymoron, but the speaker does not consciously realize the
horrors of his actions, while deep down understands what he has done. The speaker s extreme joy
from hording all the delicious blackberries turns into horror upon witnessing their fermentation (2nd
stanza). The speaker realizes that all good things must come to an end. He knows that, out of his
greed, he has murdered these blackberries, made then ferment and caused them to loose their
succulent appeal.
At first glance this poem seems a happy tale of childhood. These are memories that make the
heart smile. Images of heavy summer storms full of rain, alternating with bright, joyous
sunshine, full bushels of blackberries waiting to be picked; these are images most can relate
with. The reader can taste the bitter sweetness of the summer s first blackberry, feel the scratch
of briars against their own skin, sense the excitement and butterflies in their own stomachs as
they race to gather all the wondrous blackberries they can, followed by the anger and the
disappointment when the blackberries rot and ferment before the readers eyes. However, if the
reader were to take the diction and imagery quite literally, a somewhat different picture is
aroused. ...a glossy purple clot... (line 3) describing the first ripened blackberry, brings to mind the
picture of a nasty blood clot in someone s veins, why would Heaney compare blackberries to blood
clots?

6. Langston Hughes Analysis
Racial inequality through the eyes of Langston Hughes
According to Biography, James Mercer Langston Hughes is considered to be an African American
poet who is college educated and comes from a middle class family (Langston Hughes Biography).
He attended college in New York City and became influential during the Harlem Renaissance
(Langston Hughes Biography). Although Hughes was a talented writer, he faced some challenges
early on and it was stated that his early work was roundly criticized by many black intellectuals for
portraying what they thought to be an unattractive view of black life (Langston Hughes. American
Poet). They believed that his work helps the spread the stereotypes of African Americans. Hughes,
more than any other black poet or writer, recorded faithfully the nuances of black life and its
frustrations (Langston Hughes. American Poet). Langston Hughes s poems The Negro Mother ,
Let America be America Again and The Weary Blues were influenced by his life during the Harlem
Renaissance and the racial inequality experienced in the late 1920s through the 1960s.
The speaker in the The Negro Mother is an African Americanwoman who makes a promise to her
children that she will be with them always in spirit as they fight for the same rights as whites.

13. Influence Of Religion In Canterbury Tales
The author of The Canterbury Tales had much to say when it came to religion and the religious
people of his society. Chaucer gave descriptions on a number of characters from different
backgrounds. He had a certain bias towards people who are truly good while the truly bad people
were made fun of by him He paid special attention to a character when the topic of religion was
involved. With the Pardoner s Tale, the Pardoner acted like a hypocrite and the author made sure
to point out his hypocrisy, be it implied or expressed in the story. Chaucer was one of the very
few who had the courage to criticize church officials in his lifetime, and it shows that he had a
swell time doing it as well. That is why Chaucer, the author of The Canterbury Tales, viewed
religion and church officials as a joke because he made fun of most of the religious characters in
his prologue, was more meticulous towards religious characters on the topic of religion, and
pointed out the hypocrisy of the Pardoner s morals in his character description and in the
Pardoner s Tale. Chaucer made fun of most of the religious characters in his prologue. One of the
very first church officials in the prologue is the Nun. The Nun is supposed to constantly be pure
and holy, but Chaucer introduces her physical appearance by jokingly saying Her forehead,
certainly, was fair of spread, Almost a span across the brows, I own (109: 158 159). Chaucer is
certainly known for joking around in the Canterbury

Mary Anne s character showed increasingly inhuman and savage tendencies. She wore a bush hat
and filthy green fatigues; she carried the standard M 16 automatic assault rifle. Her face was
black with charcoal (11). In this sentence, Tim O Brien described the changes that Mary Anne
overcame from this young pure girl to this indigenous person living in a harsh jungle by
describing her attire, a bush hat, M 16, and her face was black with charcoal. Through this
sentence, Mary Anne, the character and behavior of soldiers change throughout the war, because
this pure girl does not turn into a indigenous human like this without any reason. She was also a

shows the character like an insane and heartless soldier changed by war. She wears her culottes,
her pink sweater (20), this sentence is externally shown to the soldiers who want to go back to

16. Essay about Civil Disobedience
The political concepts of justice and how a society should be governed have dominated literature
through out human history. The concept of peacefully resisting laws set by a governing force can
be first be depicted in the world of the Ancient Greeks in the works of Sophocles and actions of
Socrates. This popular idea has developed over the centuries and is commonly known today as
civil disobedience. Due to the works of Henry David Thoreauand Martin Luther King Jr. civil
disobedience is a well known political action to Americans; first in the application against slavery
and second in the application against segregation. Thoreau s essay Civil Disobedience and King s

Thoreau makes that evident in the following quote from his essay: There are thousands who are
in opinion opposed to slavery... who yet in effect do nothing to put an end to [it]; who,
esteeming themselves children of Washington and Franklin, sit down with their hands in their
pockets, and say that they know not what to do, and do nothing; and even postpone the question
of freedom to the question of free trade... (Thoreau, 270). Thoreau demands civil disobedience
from his fellow countryman to correct the errors of the government in regards to slavery and the
war of his time. Thoreau defines this concept as a deed of willful resistance, obtained by
disobeying the hypocritical laws. One deed he offers his countrymen to consider as their deed of
civil disobedience, is a refusal to pay taxes. Another deed, one Thoreau highly recommends, is to
avert oneself from conspiring with the government in refusing to actively participate in it. Most
importantly civil disobedience is civil. Meaning that the resistance to the government is peaceful
and non violent in it s methods. King s work in civil disobedience seems to be in agreement with
Thoreau in regarding civil disobedience as a duty of his fellow countrymen. King demands justice
for the African Americans in the civil rights movement of the 1960s in his letter. King s famous line
to call the people out to demand justice from the government, Injustice anywhere is a threat to

18. The Effects Of Soil And On The Environment
Ever since human beings left their hunter gatherer lifestyles and adopted intensive agriculture, their
practices in general have not always been kind to the soil and environment. Agricultural practices
completely disrupt the natural soil process and, therefore, altering the natural cycle of nutrients. A
healthy soilis a fundamental and necessary part of our entire ecosystem. Not only is soil crucial for
the functionality of our environment, but so many aspects of daily human life are affected by the
soil around us. The healthy soil beneath us assists the process of decomposing biological waste and
turning it into nutrients, which then serves as rich organic matter that supports all kinds of plant
and animal life in and on the ground. Soil... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These roles include breaking down biodegradable waste and then turning that waste into nutrients
for growing plants. The microscopic organisms function to help support a soil system and create
stability that reduces erosion and maintains water holding capacity. Agricultural practices are
behind the biological degradation of soils. Soil being used for agricultural production requires
replenishment of the nutrients or organic matter lost in the process. Failure to replenish the soil
with its loss of nutrients results in dysfunction of the nutrient cycle of the soil, reduction of soil
fertility, and an imbalance among the system.
In order to use land for agriculture, one must cut and clear out all natural vegetation in the area.
Following the conversion from natural vegetation to agriculture, the top soil is exposed to the
elements. Consequently, the topsoil will be washed away by rain or carried out by wind, a
process called soil erosion. By definition, soil erosion is a steady process that occurs when water
and wind break down and wash away the land, resulting in soil deterioration and ultimately the
disappearance of the soil completely. Plants such as coffee, soybean, and cotton have replaced the
natural vegetation, but these new plants cannot keep the fertile soil in place. With the major losses
of fertile soils, farmers move on and clear more natural vegetation and continue the cycle, or they

19. Illegality Of Drugs
Illegality of drugs (Legalize It All essay)
For many decades there has been a continuous debate about legalizing drugs. The ongoing debate
spotlights whether legalization would positively or negatively impact society. In the essay, Legalize
It All, Baum argues that the legalization of drugs is the best way to prevent any drug related
violence and addiction when the government regulates the drug usage and sales. I disagree with
Baum s ideas on drug legality as I believe all drugs should remain illegal. I disagree with Baum s
statement drugs should remain illegal. However, I do see strong benefits in drug regulation such
as fewer children being involved in drugs as well as reduced crime rates.
At this current time, 8:03 am, there must be at least two people doing drugs secretly out of fear
of being arrested. Others do not do drugs for fear of the exact same thing but if drugs were to be
made legal, more people would be inclined to become daily users and openly use them. Baum
believes that through legalizing drugs, a number of addictions will be limited. He explained
that although about half of all Americans older than twelve have tried an illegal drug, only 20
percent of those have used one in the past month. (pg 25) HALF OF ALL AMERICANS have
tried an illegal drug the rest are either too scared to try an illegal drug or it goes against their
ethics. If these drugs were legal, the number of Americans to try drugs would be greater due to the
decrease in price and the easy accessibility.
In Legalize It All, Baum explains that if we regulate drugs, we can prevent young children from
doing drugs and decrease the amount of addicts in the city. Through my experience, I believe that
the opposite of what Baum believes will occur. Take, for example, the regulations on cigarettes.
Children that are younger than 18 are prohibited to smoke. However, on my way to school, I see
many underaged teens smoking. This proves that regulations do not always work. Children are
aware of the negative effects of tobacco yet they continue to smoke. The same goes for drinking
alcohol. If we cannot regulate the use of cigarettes or alcohol, what is to say that the regulations on
drugs will be successful? Baum has not thought out the

It is known as non rivalry in consumption, in other word, people who used the public goods will
not affect others. Public goods are the goods that everyone consumed and no one can be
excluded (Tutor2u, 2011). Only government can produces public goods. Examples of public
goods are street lights and traffic lights. If the cost of street light is $20 and normally it will
benefit the consumers in the same cost. However, street light is public good it not only benefits the
consumers but also benefit those people who not paying for it. Government will produce those
public goods by using the collected tax from citizen. When government builds more street lights in
the road, it probably will reduce the car accidents during night time. Therefore, it will benefit those
who not paying the tax. There are several roles of government with purposes to fine tune the
economics and stable the economics. In addition, the government is also raising the standard of

The internal and external stakeholders could be potentially negatively affected because of what

In this Paper my goal is to analyze the culture of Afghanistan and provide cultural awareness of the
region. But what is culture? Culture, as defined by Webster s Dictionary, is the arts and
manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively . However, is that really
what defines a culture? Or is there more depth to the matter altogether? The characteristics of culture
are learned, shared, symbols, integrated, and dynamic. Essentially, culture is learned; it is not
something we are born with. It is also shared, meaning that collectively as a society we practice
social norms; which enables us to generally predict another s behavior. Symbols have meaning and
that meaning is derivative of the culture that we are exposed to. The swastika, for instance, is an
ancient symbol that is sacred in Hinduism and Buddhism but in western culture represents Nazi
Germany. Culture is integrated, various aspects of culture are all interwoven in some way.
Dynamic, culture is an ever changing entity; through travel the media, and interaction with other
nations, cultures are constantly influencing one another.

little to enforce them. Ralph wants to be the ruler, without doing the work to enforce his laws.
Jack is persistent. He is rude, harsh and violent in order to get what he wants. He wants to be

him in his quest for survival. Piggy is incapable of completing physical undertakings. This, in
turn, lowers Piggy s chance of survival on the island. Piggy brings forth a suggestion to make a
sundial clock. Ralph explains his feelings about Piggy s ideas. ... his matter of fact ideas were

Both Dante Alighieri s Inferno and Edmund Spenser s The Faerie Queene depict wooded forests
wrought with transformed men as trees. In the Inferno and The Faerie Queene an existential
conundrum of compromised identities leaves Pier della Vigne and Fraudubio sans human choice.
Dehumanized and disfigured, the individuals that comprise the trees still retain human qualities like
talking, breathing, and, even, bleeding under certain circumstances. Within each space, whether it
is considered a definite locus amoenus or a locus horribilis, the most significant human attribute to
which these trees cling is bleeding and thus they have a small handful of feelings and emotions still
within each of them. Instead of their ripped branches symbolizing death and decay, the breaking of
the branches within Inferno13 and The Faerie Queene1.2, give the trees life as if nothing has
changed. While the bleeding infers a loss of identity in both, redeemable only for one of the two, it
also lets their stories be told. Their stories, sad in nature, have redemptive qualities and move the
two pilgrims that listen to their doleful tales. The Inferno illustrates the journey of Dante the
pilgrim as he travels through the nine circles of Hell wherein each circle objectifies a specific sin
like lust, gluttony, greed or violence; there the sinners endure eternal punishment. In the seventh
circle, the circle of violence, Dante interacts with the suicides and profligates. Condemned to live

Revenue and net income. Despite the United States slow economic recovery, Whole Foods Market
has nearly quadrupled their revenues over the past ten years, from $4.5 to $15.4 billion. Net
income has also quadrupled in the past ten years, from $150 to $536 million, and has more than
doubled over the past six. This success can be traced back to a history of discovery and innovation
in the health and wellness industry, as well as the cultivation of a lifestyle surrounding customers
who shop at Whole Foods that increases both customer retention and satisfaction.
Same store sales. These are an important metric because they indicate the ability of existing
Whole Foods stores to maintain customers and grow in the face of potential cannibalization and
expanding competition. Comparable store sales were positive every year but 2009 (the year of
the Great Recession). A concerning trend of slowing comparable store sales began in 2013. This
trend can be attributed to increased market saturation Whole Foods now has multiple stores in
many major cities but increased competition may be playing a significant role as well. Overall,
growth is still increasing on a store by store basis. While Whole Foods is still a successful
company, a reversal of this declining trend would be beneficial.

The mountain smoked beneath the moon; The dwarves, they heard the tramp of doom.(15) The
Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien is a tale comprised almost solely of mystique and heroics. One facet of
this precious story is given through song. The songs are meant to give a picture of the past and
also to foreshadow what is to come. In the case of the dwarf party, their songs spoke of a past
event, the moving of a wind over the land, and their triumphant return to the halls of their
ancestors. Song singing is a great medium for sharing information as well as feelings, and Tolkien
used this medium well. First, the first song we hear through the book is Misty Mountain and was
sung by the dwarves pining for their ancestral home. Thorin started the song and all joined in the
retelling of their greatest defeat. They sing of a return to their home and of the wondrous
happenings that once occurred there. Smaug s coming is the solemn climax of this sorrowful
song. The mountain smoked beneath the moon; The dwarves, they heard the tramp of doom. They

up the book as a serious journey of a wronged people to restore their honor and family. The song
delves deeper into the dwarves character and shows the determination to get justice and reclaim
what is theirs, but in addition it shows them as a sophisticated race that were once kings and

in an unhappy ending. Jame s creates characters that encompass both sides of the social sphere in
this work. Winterbourne, Mrs. Costello and Mrs. Walker are all individuals that come from old
money, a higher societal background, and expectations of what is deemed right and proper. In
contrast, Daisy Miller, Mrs. Miller, Randolph and Eugenio are the opposite in many ways coming
from an average societal realm and more realistic, modest lifestyle. Winterbourne has a rather

In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and the Lais of Marie de France, the authors use animals as
metaphors for human actions, and as characters. By analyzing the use of these animals, we are able
to explore the meaning the authors were trying to communicate through specific scenes. The Book
of Beasts, a translation by T.H. White (1984 ed.), provides a medieval standpoint when analyzing
the use of animals in the Lais and in Gawain.
In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, there is specific use of three animals as metaphors for human

A fox will feign death in order to snatch up carrion eaters for his food, which is similar, as the
author claims, to the devil. The devil snatches up people who live in the flesh, or by the doings
of the foxy body (pg 54). In this seduction scene, Gawain is tempted one last time by the Lady,
who seems to live in the flesh. Her major role in Gawain s visits has been as a temptress trying to
make Gawain her lover. By Gawain s reaction, it seems that her flirting may be working on him
when he states:
So faultless her features... / His heart swelled swiftly with surging joys / ...Each joyed in other s

Yet again, he is able to reject her temptation and the pleasures of the flesh. He states that he has no
lover, and will not have one for quite some time. The Lady is disappointed but leaves stating that
she must at least give him some token of affection. Gawain accepts the sash, for which he later feels
guilty and confesses.
In The Lais of Marie de France, there are several animals used as both metaphors and characters.
Four lais that include the use of animals are Equitan, Bisclavert, Yonec and Laustic. White s
translation states that equi is the name for a horse in the medieval period, when Marie was writing.

British jointly between 1856 and 1860, and by the French again in 1864, and the Japanese in
1894 (Spence 35). Revolutionary efforts led by men like Kang Youwei and Sun Yat Sen would
eventually overthrow the Qing Dynasty. Even after several failed uprisings, Sun Yat Sen was
still able to maintain a, steady stream of support of new followers, and he was always able to get
enough funds from overseas Chinese, (Spence 110 111). On the first of January, 1911, Sun Yat
Sen and his fellow revolutionaries would found the Republic of China (Spence 135). In 1945,
after emerging victorious in a conflict with Japan, China s Nationalist and Communist Parties
would enter into a civil war, with Mao Zedong and the communists winning the conflict and
founding the People s Republic of China in 1949 (Spence 359). China under Mao would be
subjected to killings and acts of propaganda meant to control a population being molded for
communism. Mao s legacy is a strange one. Even though he did help give many Chinese more
rights than ever before, his willingness to keep the population under control would create a very
controversial China to say the least (Spence 387). Japan s political structure during the 19th and
20th Century would shift dramatically just as China s did. After hundreds of years of rule by a
Tokugawa feudal system, Japan was isolated and there was much division within the

43. Confusion Of Control And Control Of Operation Anaconda
Operation Anaconda was a joint operation. Even though it was a joint operation, this does not
necessarily mean cohesive. This is especially true of the air operations. Poorly executed joint
functions, primarily air operations, resulted in diminished close air support capabilities during
Operation Anaconda due to confusion of control of aviation assets, lack of proper
communication equipment, and available air coordination personnel were overwhelmed.
Confusion of control of Aviation Assets The first reason for the diminished capabilities was that
there was confusion on who had tactical control of some aviation assets. Without positive
control of all available assets, problems were inevitable. Task Force Dagger, the Special
Operation Force element, was part of Combined CJTF Mountain (CJTF), the overall command
element. CJTF Mountain was not granted Tactical Control (TACON) of TF Dagger though. This
also means that TF Dagger retained control of its aviation assets (Fleri, 2003). The aviation
assets in question still assigned to TF Dagger were the AC 130 gunships. These aircraft are one
of the most capable close air support assets that is available to the troops on the ground. This fixed
wing aircraft is heavily armed. These armaments include a 25mm Gatlin gun, 40mm Bofors cannon,
and a 105mm howitzer cannon (af.mil, 2016). This aircraft is one of the best close air support
assets in the United States inventory. This also makes this it a high demand asset in

44. The Effects Of Television On Children
Television viewing plays a significant role in the everyday lives of most American children, and
television sets have become a component of nearly all homes in the USA (Moses). Our society
today is very strongly based on the media, especially television. Americans are not only always on
their phones, but their televisions are usually on, either in the background or they are actually
sitting and watching it. Most people acknowledge that sitting around watching televisionis not
healthy. However, what most people do not realize is the effects television can have on the human
brain. More specifically, the effects it can have on the developing brain of young children.
Television effects the three domains of development: physical, social emotional, and cognitive.
Although a few experts disagree, the vast majority believe that television is harmful to the three
domains of development in the growing brain in young children. Understanding the effects, parents
and caretakers can prevent the exposure to children and help find a healthy balance of tv time.
What exactly are the domains of development? Human development is comprised of three major
domains: physical development, social emotional development, and cognitive development. As
stated in Child Development From Infancy to Adolescence physical development is biological
changes that occur in the body and brain, including changes in size and strength and integration of
sensory and motor activities (Levine and Munsch 158).

The perception of mobile computing has been widespread in recent time, thus, generating a
platform for the increase of Mobile Business Intelligence .This trend has been moderately
encouraged by a drift from traditional computers to a wireless world with the improvement of
smartphones which has led to a new age of mobile computing, particularly in the field of Business

(2010). The mobile Business Intelligence Challenge. Economy Informatics. 1 (1), 8.
This article examines the challenges faced with the application of mobile business Intelligence
within an organisation. Over the years, the demand of data management and usage has
increased within an organisation. As a result of the increase in data creation as well as
availability, most organisation has sought out various medium to make their data mobile in
which they are available for use at any time, thus sustaining competitive advantage by integrating
all data channels to offer a broader analytical perspective on a business for competitors.
Furthermore, the author stated some of the reasons of the use of Mobile Business Intelligence,
which includes the possibilities for real time decision support, it s accessible as mobile phones
are part of our day to day life, etc. However, with the range of large data to process and use
simultaneously, this may likely generate into problems such as security risk, difference in GUI of
a phone and a Computer, Low storage space in most mobile devices. In particular, there a few
limitation faced when running BI application on a mobile interface such as, the limited amount of
sent data, poor resolution of a mobile device, low memory.
Despite of all the positive and negative arguments concerning the Mobile Business Intelligence field

47. Daddy By Sylvia Plath Essay
Daddy by Sylvia Plath is a confessional poem about a daughter s hatred and anger because she
felt oppressed by her father for thirty years. Confessional poetry focuses on the inner
expressions of conflict and emotion through the use of detail in the poet s life. Plath was nine
when her father passed away and she was too young to get to know her father. Her father passed
away because of a wound he received on his toe and since he was diabetic the wound eventually
got infected and killed him. The young daughter prays for her father in the hopes of getting him
back, however when he passes away she feels angered that her daddyis gone. Plath expresses a
daughter s anger against her dominating father by identifying him with Nazi s, the devil, and
vampires.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Plath portrays herself as the victim and her father as the perpetrator. Plath uses imagery and an
allusion to reference her father as a Nazi. Her father has a neat mustache which is a reference to
Hitler s mustache. Plath s father had the bright blue Aryan eyes (Plath, 41) which referred to the
perfect breed that Hitler created. The daughter victimizes herself as a Jew and her father as a
Nazi since she feared to even talk to him just like the Jews feared the Nazi s. She perceived her
father as extremely controlling and even considers him a panzer man which is a German soldier
who was regarded as a killing machine. Comparing her father as a Nazi is a symbolic
relationship between and oppressor and someone who is oppressed. Plath reference s herself as
talking like a Jew which widens the barriers that separate her father from her because they now
speak different languages and lack communication. She is angered that she wasn t able to have a
decent conversation with her father before he passed

48. The Administrator Will Click On `` Send Status `` Option
1. After logging to the system the administrator will click on send status option. 2. After a click
on above option, the urban officer can see some request which had been send by the users and
then he/she will be sending the status to the system administrator. To model a system the most
important aspect is to take the changing behavior. To make it clear a little in details, changing
behavior means the way the system behave when it is running operating. So only unchanging
behavior is not enough to model a system rather active behavior is more important than stationary
behavior. In UML there are five diagrams available to model active nature and use case diagram is
one of them. Now as we have to talk about that the use case diagram is... Show more content on

Class diagram commonly contain the following things: 1. Classes 2. Interfaces 3. Collaborations
4. Dependency, generalization, and association relationships. The class diagrams are extensively
used for the modeling of object oriented systems because they are the only UML diagrams
which can match directly to object oriented language. The class diagram shows a set of classes,
interfaces, associations, collaborations and restrictions. It is called a structural diagram.
Description: The class diagram shows the static design view of a system. It shows the relation
between classes, collaborations and interfaces. The system has the following classes.
Administrator: This class shows the details of the Administrator. It contains admin id, password as
attributes. It has the operations like Add Officer () Delete Officer() Receiving Requests()

49. Persuasive Essay On Safe Sidewalk Safety
Is it possible for an athlete who engages in extreme sports such as rock climbing or extreme
terrain mountain biking to sustain broken bones from a sidewalk accident? While this seems
improbable, it can happen because of the person s expectations. When using a sidewalk, it s
natural to assume that it s a perfectly safe activity. Walking on sidewalks is not an extreme sport
and shouldn t require the same intense focus of spotting fall hazards. It s a reasonable
expectation that it s safe to let your guard down. Defective sidewalks are hazardous for everyone
using them. Sidewalks must be safe for all pedestrians including joggers, children, the elderly, and
the disabled. Good sidewalks are essential for delivery workers, who can t always look
