Comenius Project 2009-2011
Our project, ”Building a New Europe:
 Learning from each other”, will involve
 seven different schools from seven different
 European countries.
IES “El Batán” will be the coordinating school
  of the project.
We plan to have meetings in every
 country, the first will take place in Spain
 from the 2nd to the 7th of November, 2009.

Objectives for the students

• To develop their knowledge about other European countries

• To  improve their English communication skills and
  motivation through the use of a foreign language for real
  purposes
• To improve their ICT skills and their interest for using them
  in a safe, global communication environment
• To    gain      specific    skills,  such     as    personal
  responsibility, negotiation, problem solving and team work
• To establish a cross-curricular approach to learning
Objectives for the teachers

•   To improve the quality and attractiveness of
    teaching
•   To learn about other educational systems and
    their approach to the different subjects
•   To share and compare different
    methodologies, especially those related to
    foreign language teaching
•   To create working tools necessary in the
    process of modern teaching
•   To renew their enthusiasm and professional
    development
•   To promote the European dimension of
    teaching
