Our School – 3rd Junior High School of Trikala began as the only female school in town in 1939. It became coeducational in 1979 and moved to its current building in 1964. Today it has 30 teachers and 236 students across 10 classrooms. It offers specialized classrooms and labs for subjects like science, computers, art, and German. The school aims to provide students an enriching educational experience through academic, cultural, and athletic programs and events.

4. History
In the beginning our school functioned as the only
Female School of our town starting in 1939 and it
was self-contained.
It wasn’t until 1979 that Female and Male Schools
were abolished and became co-educational and
our school turned into 3rd Junior High school.
In 1964 the school moved to the newly-built building
on Valaoritou street where it is until now.
Our school’s building is one of the oldest of Trikala.

7. Our school today
 Today our school has 30 teachers of all
subjects and approximately 236 students.
 There are 10 classrooms : 3 for the students
of 1st Grade , 3 for the students of 2nd Grade
and finally 4 for the students of 3rd Grade.
 Our school has also: a fully equipped
physics-chemistry lab , a computer lab , a
German language classroom, a multi-
functional classroom, a classroom with an
interactive whiteboard, an art classroom
and a gym.

 On the ground floor there are 4 classrooms, the
toilets and the art classroom.
 On the second floor there are the headmaster’s
and teachers’ office as well as the secretary.
Moreover, there are the multi-functional
classroom, the classroom with the interactive
board and the computer lab.
 On the third floor there are 7 classrooms and the
German classroom.

 Our school has a really large and beautiful yard,
surrounded by tall trees and colorful flowers.
 In the yard there are both basketball and volleyball
courts. What is more, there is a canteen, where
students can buy something to eat during the
breaks.

where the students have planted their own
trees.

 Our school is decorated by graffiti art, which is
really impressive because students have
drawn them on their own.

 Every year our school holds
celebrations for our national
anniversaries or Christmas, in which
students participate as members of
the choir and orchestra. In addition,
some students recite poems.

environmental programs that really interest the
students who are willing to take part in. Every
year many trips all over Greece are organized.
During these programs students have the
opportunity to take part in many activities that
include visits to environmental parks ,
museums or exhibitions.

Thessalia and has won many awards .
