Brenda is an 18-year-old who loves sports, music, and spending time with friends. She participated in a Comenius exchange program in Italy where she was paired with an Italian student named Emily. During the week-long exchange, Brenda visited local bakeries, pasta factories, and wineries with Emily and her other exchange partners. She enjoyed learning about Italian culture and making new friends from different countries through this experience.

1. My name is Brenda Julieth Román Loaiza. I’m eighteen years old
I love music, going out with my friends and my passion is sports.
Since I was a little girl, I have practiced sports : Volleyball, kick-
boxing, basketball, swimming, skating, running, Taekwondo and
dance. I’m in this Comenius because I love meeting people and
knowing about other cultures.

2. Comenius
The first day, we arrived at noon and the families were waiting for us.
That day we went to the houses with the families and we stayed with
them.
My Italian girl’s name is Emily and we went to a Carnival festival to
another town and we disguised. I met her friends there.

3. On Monday we went to school and then, we went to Castelfranco where
we presented our powerpoints about ourselves, our school and the results
of the questions made in our school. We saw our partners’ presentations
and we met other boys and girls from the other countries who also took
part in this Comenius project too .

4. An interesting week
On Tuesday we went to Forno di Asolo I, a bakery factory . We visited it with
our partners . It was very funny and they gave us sweet buns
At night, my friend Emily and I went to Gean luca ‘s house where he had
prepared a welcome party for me.

5. An interesting week
On Wednesday we visited Pasta Zara, a pasta factory and they gave us 2 Kg of
different kinds of pasta .
We went with the Italian's boys to a beautiful old town
At night we went to a pizzeria and we had dinner all
together, teachers, students and the Italian parents. It
was the best day of the week.

6. An interesting week
On Thursday we visited Villa
Sandy Winary,a famous cellar
where wine was made and some
was exported to other parts of
Europe. We had a good time
there because we were more
confident and we talked with
our partners a lot.
That afternoon I went to see the
cows with my friend Felix and
his Italian boy Lorenzo , a very
nice guy.

7. An interesting week
On Friday we went to school but we had to say goodbye to our
Portuguese and Greek friends , and in the afternoon I went with
Emily and her boyfriend to a very famous town in Italy, Victoria, a
beautiful place and I met her boyfriend’s family. His name’s Daniel.
Finally on Saturday we came
back home. It was a nice
experience for me, because I
could know the Italian school
system, the Italian school, a
technical one with orchards,
fields, animals. I lived with an
Italian family, met interesting
people and made friends.
