This document discusses how digital technologies have changed news and politics by collapsing space and time, allowing for perfect copies and new forms of commentary and reporting through blogs and social media. It has led to more participants playing different roles in sharing news and created challenges around filtering information and maintaining independent reporting as business models change. Examples of these changes are provided.
