Papua theology a new paradigm in theologyAt Ipenburg
This document outlines a proposal for a new approach to systematic theology called "theology from below." It evaluates existing contextual theologies like liberation theology and suggests focusing on how ordinary Christians practice their faith and struggle for freedom. It discusses how modern society challenges traditional top-down models of theology and argues theology should study how people are inspired by gospel values today rather than legitimizing institutional church positions. The document uses the example of West Papua, where theologians study hymns and movements to understand local Christian faith under oppression.

Train doctors who work as a team, avoid becoming a passive doctor, a hospital passive; that they be self-taught and share in the remuneration of gratitude, managing to train an active doctor, which are the ones that any hospital seeks to have and better yet, train doctors who are safe in their training, not that they have never fallen, but that managed to get up and not at the expense of whatever -or whoever-, but with dignity, beings capable of generating synergy in a work group and integrating them as a team, these doctors are written and named as the first letter of the paragraph, a capital doctor.

The document discusses the history of medicine and pharmacy in the Kingdom of Naples. It describes how the School of Salerno was founded in the late 6th century as one of the first real medical schools in the Western world, bringing together Greek, Arabic, Jewish, and Latin influences. Monasteries also played an important role, becoming centers of herbal medicine production from the 10th century onward. Various religious and charitable organizations established hospitals and care facilities to treat the sick and poor throughout this period. The oldest recorded pharmacy in Naples was founded around the 11th century by Benedictine monks.
The document summarizes research on how Italian media establishes social meanings around infertility. It analyzes 373 newspaper articles on infertility from 1998-2008 and grassroots communication online. Traditional media builds reflexivity and references experts, while online communication empowers citizens to share stories and build understanding through conversation. Both spheres influence culture around reproductive health.

This document is an introduction and preface to Abraham Maslow's book "Religions, Values, and Peak Experiences" which examines core religious or transcendent experiences. The introduction provides background on increasing communication between religions and sciences. Maslow believes these experiences are valid psychological events rather than direct revelations from God. The preface warns that organized religions can become enemies of religious experience by becoming overly behavioral or legalistic. It also warns that mystics can become selfish in only seeking peak experiences or escalating behaviors to trigger them. Overall, the document introduces Maslow's perspective on integrating religious experience and science.
THE CATHOLIC CHURCH: An Ancient and Modern Day Mystery SchoolWilliam John Meegan
Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy can be summarized as follows:
1. The first verse of the Divine Comedy establishes that Dante is recounting the second half of his life's journey, after having strayed from the righteous path.
2. Key dates in Dante's life - his birth, entering the dark wood, death, and the start of narrating his journey - can be shown to relate to important numerical patterns like the Fibonacci sequence and Golden Ratio.
3. This implies that Dante did not actually live as a human but was an allegorical character used by anonymous medieval authors to convey spiritual meanings through mathematics.
To What Use is Philosophy in an Age of Science and Technology? AJSSMTJournal
Philosophy as a discipline of studies and as a form of knowledge is facing a lot of challenges today, even in the university
systems and institutions where some have marginalized it or consigned it to the realm of general studies. The erstwhile
mother of the sciences does not seem to have the dignity among the sciences. Since respectability has today been reserved
to the sciences that appear to have more practical impart specifically the empirical sciences and technology. Thus, in this age
of manufacturing and industry, men are either cynical about any form of knowledge that is merely speculative and does not
talk of bread and butter issues or appear not to have any economic potency. No wonder, a book in French was titled “A Quoi
Bon La Philosophy” (To What Good Is Philosophy). The goal of this article is to respond to this modern cynicism and
interrogation on the utility of philosophy. It will be our contention that any knowledge and learning without the philosophical
ingredient suffers fundamental impoverishment. Furthermore, that the empirical sciences and technology require a discipline
like philosophy for their foundational legitimation

Major Paper #1
Worth 10% of final grade. Will be graded on a 40 point scale
Due by the start of class, Friday, February 9. Submitted as a hard copy AND online.
You have now carefully read and discussed the following readings: William Portier, Ch. 1 “The Great Questions” and Ch. 3, “Religion” from Tradition and Incarnation; Steven Prothero, Introduction from God Is Not One; and the Vatican II document, Nostra Aetate. In this first written reflection, you are going to bring these various perspectives into dialogue.
This assignment must take the form of a paper. The length should be at least 2-3 pages but no longer than 5 pages. The paper must be typed, using Times Roman 12 pt font, double spaces, one inch margins. It should be submitted as a hard copy in class on the due date and be submitted to Turn-it-in via Isidore.
The paper must address the following questions/prompts and be clearly based on the material covered thus far in class. You may need more than one paragraph to answer each part adequately. Cite all sources accurately.
Before you write, think about how each source (William Portier, Stephen Prothero, and the Catholic Church) understands “religion” (the purposes, starting points, and definitions of religion, etc…)
The paper itself with address the following four questions:
First, what are some of the most important similarities between how each of our sources understand religion? (Its purposes, starting points, definition, etc…)
Second, what are some of the most significant differences between our sources’ understandings about religion?
Third, given these similarities and differences, describe two possible approaches one might take to the study of religion. For each approach, describe what one might learn about religion from that approach. The approaches may be taken directly from a reading as long as you cite your source and are able to say why that approach makes sense. You are encouraged to offer an approach that combines what is found in the readings.
Fourth, what questions does thinking about these various perspectives on religion and approaches to the study of religion raise that require further study.
Grading criteria
1. Use of Sources: Inclusion of all four readings, accurate accounts of the content of each reading, and the proper citation of your sources. This is not a research paper. You should not need any additional sources beyond what we have read in class.
2. Content: Responses to each of the questions/prompts that demonstrat ...
Toward Islamic Anthropology by Akbar S. Ahmed.pdfccccccccdddddd
This document provides an overview of the field of anthropology, including its origins in the colonial era and development as an academic discipline. It discusses how early anthropologists sought to understand other cultures but were limited by Eurocentric biases. Modern anthropology aims to appreciate human diversity and recognize our shared humanity. The document also examines the theoretical frameworks that emerged in Western anthropology to analyze social structures, kinship, religion, economics, and processes of social change.
This document discusses holistic health care and spiritual self-presence. It addresses three questions: 1) What makes a person and life spiritual? 2) What is the scope of health care? 3) What makes care "spiritual"? Regarding the first question, it discusses how a strictly medical model is inadequate and how spirituality refers to living as a whole person. For the second question, it discusses how health, whole, and holy share an etymological root, suggesting health care should focus on "holy wholeness". The third question is addressed by arguing spiritual care has more to do with how carers act with self-presence than the subject matter of care.
Catholic education, an option for christian humanismCarlos Arboleda
This document summarizes a presentation given at a conference on Catholic education. It discusses Pope Francis' vision of a "new Christian humanism" that is based on mystical experience and witness rather than concepts. This humanism emphasizes humility, selflessness, and beatitude. It calls for an approach to formation that moves from intellectual and traditional formation to one based on religious experience, strong community, knowledge of scripture, and missionary commitment as a result of experiencing God's call.

The Apostolic Exhortation Veritatis Gaudium (VG) is not an isolated fruit of the teaching of Pope Francis. It is in harmony with other documents: Laudato Si' (2015), Evangelii Gaudium (2013), Amoris laetitia (2016), Gaudete et exsultate (2018) and with all the theologicalpastoral orientation of his thought.

Abstract: Equivariant neural networks are neural networks that incorporate symmetries. The nonlinear activation functions in these networks result in interesting nonlinear equivariant maps between simple representations, and motivate the key player of this talk: piecewise linear representation theory.

The debris of the ‘last major merger’ is dynamically youngSérgio Sacani
The Milky Way’s (MW) inner stellar halo contains an [Fe/H]-rich component with highly eccentric orbits, often referred to as the
‘last major merger.’ Hypotheses for the origin of this component include Gaia-Sausage/Enceladus (GSE), where the progenitor
collided with the MW proto-disc 8–11 Gyr ago, and the Virgo Radial Merger (VRM), where the progenitor collided with the
MW disc within the last 3 Gyr. These two scenarios make different predictions about observable structure in local phase space,
because the morphology of debris depends on how long it has had to phase mix. The recently identified phase-space folds in Gaia
DR3 have positive caustic velocities, making them fundamentally different than the phase-mixed chevrons found in simulations
at late times. Roughly 20 per cent of the stars in the prograde local stellar halo are associated with the observed caustics. Based
on a simple phase-mixing model, the observed number of caustics are consistent with a merger that occurred 1–2 Gyr ago.
We also compare the observed phase-space distribution to FIRE-2 Latte simulations of GSE-like mergers, using a quantitative
measurement of phase mixing (2D causticality). The observed local phase-space distribution best matches the simulated data
1–2 Gyr after collision, and certainly not later than 3 Gyr. This is further evidence that the progenitor of the ‘last major merger’
did not collide with the MW proto-disc at early times, as is thought for the GSE, but instead collided with the MW disc within
the last few Gyr, consistent with the body of work surrounding the VRM.
Immersive Learning That Works: Research Grounding and Paths ForwardLeonel Morgado
We will metaverse into the essence of immersive learning, into its three dimensions and conceptual models. This approach encompasses elements from teaching methodologies to social involvement, through organizational concerns and technologies. Challenging the perception of learning as knowledge transfer, we introduce a 'Uses, Practices & Strategies' model operationalized by the 'Immersive Learning Brain' and ‘Immersion Cube’ frameworks. This approach offers a comprehensive guide through the intricacies of immersive educational experiences and spotlighting research frontiers, along the immersion dimensions of system, narrative, and agency. Our discourse extends to stakeholders beyond the academic sphere, addressing the interests of technologists, instructional designers, and policymakers. We span various contexts, from formal education to organizational transformation to the new horizon of an AI-pervasive society. This keynote aims to unite the iLRN community in a collaborative journey towards a future where immersive learning research and practice coalesce, paving the way for innovative educational research and practice landscapes.
Authoring a personal GPT for your research and practice: How we created the Q...Leonel Morgado
Thematic analysis in qualitative research is a time-consuming and systematic task, typically done using teams. Team members must ground their activities on common understandings of the major concepts underlying the thematic analysis, and define criteria for its development. However, conceptual misunderstandings, equivocations, and lack of adherence to criteria are challenges to the quality and speed of this process. Given the distributed and uncertain nature of this process, we wondered if the tasks in thematic analysis could be supported by readily available artificial intelligence chatbots. Our early efforts point to potential benefits: not just saving time in the coding process but better adherence to criteria and grounding, by increasing triangulation between humans and artificial intelligence. This tutorial will provide a description and demonstration of the process we followed, as two academic researchers, to develop a custom ChatGPT to assist with qualitative coding in the thematic data analysis process of immersive learning accounts in a survey of the academic literature: QUAL-E Immersive Learning Thematic Analysis Helper. In the hands-on time, participants will try out QUAL-E and develop their ideas for their own qualitative coding ChatGPT. Participants that have the paid ChatGPT Plus subscription can create a draft of their assistants. The organizers will provide course materials and slide deck that participants will be able to utilize to continue development of their custom GPT. The paid subscription to ChatGPT Plus is not required to participate in this workshop, just for trying out personal GPTs during it.

The work of Raimondo Villano "Eye of the Needle: Pharmaceutical meridians between secular and Catholic moral
ethics" is to fill a gap in treatment in an Italian field senpre most popular and, no doubt, of great prospects.
Raimondo Villano, already a harbinger of original contributions, now provides this in his book to students of
pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacology, a number of valuable insights and reflections. It is, therefore, Altamar
meritorious work of Raimondo Villano thrash for a large crowd of readers and scholars in the field of medicine and
the various problems at the same time, highlight the difficulties of promoting science for an audience already
mature and tempered by the situation particularly serious, especially with regard to therapeutic aspects. This issue
is framed in the proper form and is full of prospects. The chapters of the book of Villano are full of philosophy and
the high culture and humanity of the author emerge here and there, with classical references and your knowledge of
the subject allows him to go through the same property by the etiopathogenesis of language sociology. It is my
hope that this book does not just go and use the analysis to the study of farmacogenesi but also promotes public
awareness, all too often ignorant and helpless in the face of health problems: to this end, efforts will certainly
reading of Raimondo's Villano excellent book.

Preface
Going beyond the self to universal custom, superficiality and quiescence can mean profitable to compete in the
Profession to loose the virtual image of the real distinction and mend your status more appropriate aperture
public(1)
. Rather than let me be dominated by feelings of powerlessness in the face of such self-evident observation,
I have endeavored to develop this work so that fits into the track of awareness of his colleagues and trying to
inspire them inspired by the ethics of responsibility expressed by Max Weber's notion that "effort would never be
reached unless there were those, and again, attempt the impossible(2)
".
The objective is, therefore, seeking to ensure the profession is also progressing with the instrument of culture lata
in its most proper and the old cultus, from Coleraine, or cultivate, cultivating: the educated person, in fact, he has
carefully cultivated self-respect. Acquired this care and self-respect, the cultured person becomes more likely,
more and more programs designed to care for and respect of others, then yes, that culture is an indispensable tool to
create that active citizenship rooted professional, productive and effective in daily is desirable that the ultimate
goal. Are released, so those formidable energies capable of taking man out, keeping him conscious of his personal
dignity, enriching him with deep humanity and place it with its uniqueness in the fabric of society and the
profession(3)
. Free of hubris in classical memory, but maybe not quite outdated, and with all the "overage" of
modesty that I think deserves the approach to certain problems, a reading of the Meridian I think can be trained in
order to help differentiate certain elementsprospective professional, social, cultural and technical area to be ones
that, in terms of stringency, the concreteness, the fineness and consistency of argument, a significant advancement
of the reflection of the professional design and creation of awareness at least potentially prodromal for works
and "shares" as more desirable with the high-end work for the man(4)
. First, adhering to the life education or
training is not intended only as a time of learning but also as a work that, in contrast to the view that the mind of
the learner is devoid of intrinsic qualities and container to be filled with the most knowledge, is inspired by the idea
that education is the education of the memory of a function, to form working on valuable content on material with
deep feeling. It is clear, citing an authoritative contemporary philosopher, Karl Popper, who with such moments of
sense thought into the process of memory which, therefore, becomes memory judicious. With such substantial
logical connection I think there is going to investigate other important issues profession, or preparatory to it or
confluent, after using the historical journey of several other locations(5)
. It is desirable, first, that a path with the

help dellaChiesa leading man of faith, but not only, to become aware or more aware of the possible ways of freeing
the great crisis of spiritual values which surrounds us in life and in profession, and that it strengthened and
extended to most if not all, the need to reinvigorate their commitment to the Lord with courage to carry on the
Christian action or substantial enlightened lay apostolate(6)
.
Strive, therefore, as a humble branch of the Great Vine, the second lay Christifideles(7)
, further open their hearts
with good will so that his and others' lives are better ordered at the highest values.
In addition, it is hoped that further action can be stimulated to arise under such conditions is that the moral theories,
in front of an abundance of cultural systems in evolution, are not feeble attempts to make an absolute quota and
their validity is not likely to be confined to a particular historical stage of a given society. It could create more
targeted and reach such a way, through comparisons and construction processes, also at individual resolutions or
actions in any way that the story does appear to be non-antagonistic ethics, relativizing the first absolutizes what
the other, but rather the field in which the ethical demand makes sense(8)
. From the jumble of the elements of the
depth and thickness of talented colleagues, believe that love is much more than that I am privileged to know, can
take further sap the strength of their ideas and the actions which can go towards new directions and perhaps even
wider horizons, of course, by virtue and not in spite of an appreciable diversity of expression and essential, but in a
particularly fruitful opportunities that make you feel more deeply that what little or much you can do for others
produces enrichmentand increases in the size of his own humanity wonderfully (9)
.
By opting for a different choice, however, it seems worthwhile to take in mind the statements of Mahatma Gandhi,
"is not the critic who counts, not the man that indicates why the sharp falls, or where the filmmaker could have
done better. The credit belongs to the man who is in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat, fighting
valiantly, who errs and may fall again, because there is no conquest without fault or weakness that really fight
for carried out, who knows the great enthusiasm and great faith, that strives for a noble cause, which at best knows
in the end the triumph of high goals and, at worst, if he fails, at least fall gloriously, so that the his place shall never
be close to the fearful and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat". Eye of the Needle, then, is there to
remind us how narrow and difficult passage through which pass the meridians, which are ideal for wireless help to
heal such a warp, using a preliminary bonum otium of Horace's memory and an essential cultural metabolism
between faith and reason which, to paraphrase Goethe, I filled the interior of his colleagues ever higher feelings,
desires that feed on deserve to be outsiders in their breasts and food intake any more worthy(10)
.
However, having the gift of faith, I am comforted by the belief that "reason is the need for infinite and culminates
in the longing and the presentiment of this infinite posters(11)
".
