Webometrics is the quantitativeanalysis of the web phenomenon employing methods of informetrics [Bjoneborn, Ingwersen,2004]. Due to the importance of the Web, some studies dealing with webometrics seek todescribe web and offer diverse statistics about some of the features and capabilities of theWeb sites [Noroozi Chakoli, 2012]. In EERQI analysis, the need for new retrieval andclustering techniques, and webometrics method mentioned (EERQI, 2008).On the other hand, the Web has developed into the most important scholarly communicationtool and has made more and more scientific information accessible [Kargar, 2011].The present paper seeks to investigate the situation of Estonia on the basis of the Rich Filesand to compare it with other CEE countries. On the other hand, it attempts to have a reviewof the status of scientific output, number of publications is an indicator of Scientific power (Vinkler, 1986), of Estonia in Scopus – that is one of the databases for scientific assessment-and to compare it with other CEE countries. Lastly, this paper will check whether there existsa correlation between the number of the CEE countries Rich Files and the number of their scientific product. In other words, we shall attempt to discover if the number of the RichFiles could represent the scientific ranking of a given CEE country?The Rich files, consisting of PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, have been singled out as the basis of our analysis because the majority of the scientific products are being issued in this these files formats since Webometrics , in its scientific assessment of universities, employs the number of Rich Files as one of its criteria which calls it Openness.

It found that typed URLs were the most common way to initiate fact finding and information gathering tasks, while bookmarks and typed URLs were most common for transactions. Fact finding and information gathering involved search-based tasks using Google and site searches, while browsing and transactions involved more revisiting of sites. Information gathering was the most complex task, with the longest time spent, most pages viewed, and heaviest browser usage. The study used a naturalistic inquiry with qualitative narrative data to understand web tasks in their natural contexts without controlling variables.

It found that typed URLs were the most common way to initiate fact finding and information gathering tasks, while bookmarks and typed URLs were most common for transactions. Fact finding and information gathering involved search-based tasks using Google and site searches, while browsing and transactions involved more revisiting of sites. Information gathering was the most complex task, with the longest time spent, most pages viewed, and heaviest browser usage. The study used a naturalistic inquiry with qualitative narrative data to understand web tasks in their natural contexts without controlling variables.

Personal name ambiguity in the web arises when different people share the same name in the web.Resolving the name ambiguity in the web is useful in a number of applications like Information retrieval,Information extraction and Question and answering system etc. A general name disambiguation process
involves clustering the web pages such that each cluster represents an ambiguous person. In this article,five important name disambiguation techniques that make use of Hierarchical agglomerative clustering are empirically compared. Experiments were conducted on the benchmark dataset and their performances are evaluated in terms of purity, Inverse purity and f-score. Results show the method that uses features like Lexical, linguistic and personal information hierarchical agglomerative clustering performs better than disambiguation using other techniques.

Synopsis: Cooperative information systems typically involve various entities in a collaborative process within a distributed environment. Blockchain technology offers a mechanism for automating such processes, even when only partial trust exists among participants. The data stored on the blockchain is replicated across all nodes in the network, ensuring accessibility to all participants. While this aspect facilitates traceability, integrity, and persistence, it poses challenges for adopting public blockchains in enterprise settings due to confidentiality issues. In this paper, we present a software tool named Control Access via Key Encryption (CAKE), designed to ensure data confidentiality in scenarios involving public blockchains. After outlining its core components and functionalities, we showcase the application of CAKE in the context of a real-world cyber-security project within the logistics domain.

The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
