This document discusses collaborating between librarians and classroom faculty on course guides and research sessions. It provides benefits of collaboration for faculty, students, and librarians. Faculty gain assistance designing research assignments, librarians help students with assignments and build connections, and students develop critical thinking skills. The document outlines a spectrum of collaboration from informing the librarian of assignments to co-designing curriculum. It provides examples of course guides at St. Mary's University that supported in-class research sessions. An afternoon session is proposed to brainstorm ideas and examine the library's guide platform options for embedding content.
