Coca-Cola was first created in the 1800s and sold in 1886. It was originally sold in bottles starting in 1894 and began being sold in cans in 1955. The drink uses coca leaves and kola fruits for flavoring and was originally quite strong before being mixed with water. It became popularly sold at soda fountains in the United States and was an early sponsor of the Olympic Games in 1928.
