3. COCA-COLA IS MADE OF… It is made of Carbonaded water high frutose corn syrup carmell color phosphoric acid and natural flavors. The exact formula of Coca-Cola's natural flavourings (but not its other ingredients which are listed on the side of the bottle or can) is a trade secret. The original copy of the formula is held in SunTrust Bank's main vault in Atlanta. Its predecessor, the Trust Company, was the underwriter for the Coca-Cola Company's initial public offering in 1919.
4. STORY OF THE COCA-COLA Do you know how old Coca Cola is? More than a hundred years! It was invented in 1886 by a chemist called John Perberton, who lived in Atlanta, in the South of the USA. (Its name comes from two of its ingredients- coca leaves and kola nuts.) Pemberton tried to sell Coca Cola as a medicine. He told his customers that it was good for headaches. They didn't believe him, and they didn't buy it. After John Pemberton died,in1888, a man called Asa Candler bought the recipe for Pemberton's medicine He decided to sell it, not as a medicine but as a drink. In 1892, he spent $ 12,000 on advertising it. The Coca Cola advertising campaign hasn't stopped since then! And it has worked brilliantly. Coke has been the most popular drink in the USA for more than sixty years.
5. Process¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ *The mixing and blending process of the beverage takes place when refined sugar is added to pure water. A formula unique to Coca Cola is then mixed with the blend; carbon dioxide is then added to the drink in order to give it the fizz that is lacking .The inside of the bottle has to be pressurized before it is filled with the liquid beverage. Each bottle is then filled and capped which again ensures that the drink does not lose its taste. Each bottle is now ready to be labeled. Large rollers, which are part of a special machine, label every bottle. Proper codes are then given to each bottle and the bottles go on to be inspected minutely for any glitches that might have taken place. The bottles are then packaged in cardboard boxes and distributed to several places of the country.
