Frost International has leased a one square km stretch of land for a period of 30
years at Khasi Hills in the Eastern Indian state of Meghalaya, and has also
constructed road connectivity to facilitate the mining and transportation of coal.
Owing to the location and distance of the mines, it is not economically viable to
transport and consume the high quality coal within the country.
Coal mined from the open pit mines is transported via Frost International's own
trucks, for export and onward delivery and consumption by power plants and other
users in Bangladesh.
